I have been a Vikings fan for over 40 years. Been to many games, buy lots of merchandise, groomed my kids to be die hard fans. I feel like we Viking fans deserve to get lucky and draft a superstar QB one of these years. Why cant we draft the real deal for once? Will this ever happen in my lifetime??? I am 48 years old right now.

I don't think Teddy's pocket was any less consistent than Wilson's. The main difference was that as Wilson extended plays and made plays downfield the defense got back on their heels more.
Also, Seattle ran several types of screens and effective draw plays to further the unpredictability of their attack.
I literally had no idea what Seattle would do from play to play because they could run or pass effectively from all their formations.
The designed rollouts and QB keepers were extremely effective.
Norv is still banging his fist on the table forcing his own hand.
Any idiot could call a running play for AD and have it be effective most times....that wouldn't make them good coaches.

Seattle adjusted their scheme because they were falling out of contention and it's kicked their offense up in a big way.
Many of us idiot fans have been calling for Norv to do the same before their backs were against the wall. His choice of switching it up was to run the ball more.

Their record may not indicate it, but their backs are now against the wall and they are in danger of losing their playoff position. They've played 2 playoff worthy teams at home and have gotten destroyed both times. Every team left on the schedule has above average defenses and quality QBs. AND they are decimated by injuries on defense.
They are a desperate 8-4 team that needs to at least add some wrinkles on offense, in my emotionally unattached opinion.

wilson has a cannon and brigewater throws like a little girl. wilson has 8 td's the past 2 weeks. bridgewater has 8 all year. it is time to wake up: we have a serious qb issue. next week will simply prove it even more.

Replacing Turner with someone more open-minded and having a fresher offensive philosophy would be a good idea.

Of course the Vikings offense does squat and the only thread that is started is how bad Bridgewater is. Nothing about the Wr's, the O-line giving him 0 time for plays to even develop. Granted he has held on to the ball at times, but when the defense is in the back field 2 seconds after the ball is snapped. Well it's time to replace the QB. And then when he does make a play, it's effing holding or some BS offensive pass interference. I doubt he had two plays back to back were he had 3 seconds to play with. Even 2 seconds.

Tell me please. Which QB in the draft will be better than Bridgewater? One that we will be able to draft without selling the farm.

Bridgewater even when he gets decent protection makes bad decisions, has a weak arm and poor accuracy. If Hasselback doesn't play for the colts next year id feel more comfortable with him. That's how bad TB has been. Couldn't throw a td to save his life.

This X 1000......I'm on the fence with TB but feel like with this being his second season and IF we were to change OC then would have to see how he would perform and that would take time. Prolly gunna be the starter for at least the duration of his contract. At this point I'm not so sure he is the main problem. Imho it's the Turners first....OL second

I still think Teddy will be a good QB for us, but the sentiment around here is that he is already a bust. In that sense, we haven't had a good QB since Favre and then Culpepper before him. Maybe it actually has something to do with the vision of our team? Maybe because we have barely spent any decent draft picks on our OLine? Maybe even having AD somehow prevents us from having a great passing attack?

If we've had bad QB play for a decade (aside from 2009), it's gotta be something more than just choosing the wrong starters. No way to prove this, but I get the sense that if Carr and Bridgewater switched teams, Carr would have similar stats to Bridgewater now based on the structure, personnel, and philosophy of this team.

As I typed this, Carr just had two terrible turnovers!

I would suggest that this franchise's QB problems go back several decades now.
They've had some success in FA, where they built a team and plugged a guy in...but as far as drafting and developing their own?
Tark, Kramer and Culpepper in my viewing lifetime. Gannon, Wilson, and Johnson all were good QBs, but not so much with the Vikes. Though Wilson had some good years in Minny.
But a lot of teams have that issue....maybe most teams in fact.
A whole lot of luck involved too.
