if we're talking off season moves, there are a number of Cincinnati Bengals who's contracts are up after this season that fill holes on this team, could be interesting to see if Zimmer goes after any of them. Reggie Nelson could be our answer opposite Harrison. Andre Smith could probably play RT or OG, maybe even LT. Either Marvin Jones or Mohammed Sanu could be decent additions to our WR corps if Wallace and/or Cordarelle are let go. Vincent Rey is a very solid LB who could replace Greenway. And although he doesn't fill an obvious hole, if Newman and Robinson leave, Leon Hall could be added as a excellent veteran presence in our secondary with experience in Zimmer's defense. Same could be said for Adam Jones, although even less likely in my estimation

not saying we'd make all these moves or even more than one. But it wouldn't surprise me to see Zimmer target a player or two he's familiar with from his Cinci days

Only problem there is that the Bengals are doing well. Unless we go deeper than them or they implode it'll be hard to lure anyone away short of an absurd contract

I also agree that it can be upgraded at different positions. There are a lot of needs. In fact, pretty much every category of the passing game (from players to coaching) could use improvement.

In this league, QB and WR should be seriously considered EVERY single draft, even if you feel like those are your team's particular strengths. Those positions are just THAT important now.

One thing that I haven't seen talked about is consistency in the WR / TE core. I actually think there's some merit to keeping Wallace so we aren't changing #1 WR's for Teddy year after year. It would depend on if we could restructure his deal I'm sure and if Teddy / Norv want wallace back of course but clearly I don't think they've tapped all the potential out of a Teddy / Wallace connection. Teddy is a QB that needs to trust his WR's before he feels comfortable letting it rip and I just think bringing in a new guy every year doesn't allow for the timing and "connection" to develop.

On the flip side we've seen him hit it off with Diggs right away so maybe it just needs to be the RIGHT guy, but something to think about.

That's what I'm thinking. He "hit it off" with CJ to some extent towards the end of 2014 and the same early/mid 2015 with Diggs. Something else to consider: While Diggs might be soaking up most of the WR targets, Teddy is probably one of the most "equal-opportunity" QBs in the league with his target distribution. In other words, he seems to pass to the open guy rather than lock onto one guy most (for the most part). Part of that may be lack of a Megatron-/A.J. Green-type target but also a product of who his primary reads on any given play. What's curious to me (and it may just be me) IS that target distribution. When Norv was at Cleveland, the QBs peppered Josh Gordon with targets. Of course, I'm not sure if that had more to do with Gordon's abilities (in that Megatron-type dominant mold), Norv's scheme making him primary read or a combination of both. Early on I was kind of hoping he'd do that with Patterson. Boy did that go the opposite direction in a hurry.

Tackle-first pick
SS-second
These 2 are positions we have lacked getting HIGH rounds in the draft.
Guard-need a HQ high round guard.
DE-need a good lower round one to go with Hunter
WR-pray the scouts find another Diggs, if not, I want a 6-4 or taller one with good HANDS. We have some with speed already and hoping Wallice is on the Bears, Packers, or Lions).

Simply have to fix our Oline, and hope the injured ones can come back and play well. Cant neglect this position, backup QB, or SS any longer.

I think we could sign Greenway, Newman, Cole, etc. and a few other, for fairly cheap that can either start or be good backups.

Tired of Kyle being a no show or hurt (untill the last few games). And I dont trust Rick with WRs or QB's. Maybe 5 years from now I will have changed my mind about Rick and QBs. Same with the early / FA wrs. I love crow.
I just don't think you trusted Rick with much at all the past few years and he's proved you wrong. It's easy to say you don't trust him with WRs since ours haven't panned out much. He did find Diggs though. Finding good depth/quality players in later rounds is something you specifically said he couldn't do.

Also, I absolutely do not want Line at TE. That basically gives you 2 FBs at TE in Line and Ellison in hopes of Pruitt panning out. As I said before, Rudy is one of Teddy's most trusted targets. Why get rid of something like that? Doesnt make much sense

Rudolph is a guarantee. I'm not sure about Wallace simply because of how much we would owe him and it would cost us nothing to dump him

I hope they jettison him and get CJ some more time (he and Teddy seem to be much more in tune with each other).

I would be surprised if Wallace is back unless he takes a hefty pay cut.
