Re: 2015 Vikings Injury Thread
The following is me hypothesizing about 'reported' injuries. I have a disclaimer on that at the bottom. For now, here is my understanding and opinion (not really much of anything anyway).
Adductor strain for Barr? Those are tough. I wonder if they will steroid inject him to see if that will 'calm his injury down.' There isn't much that can be done to heal an adductor strain down in one week's time. It will be up to the medical staff and Barr to determine his functionality.
For Linval, I wish I knew more about the foot injury. Is it a sprain? Is it a strain of the musculature? Is it actually his ankle?
As far as Harrison, it sounds like he has an MCL sprain. I guess I cannot assume that, but, either way, look for him to be in a knee brace to limit any valgus or varus stress. They will want to keep him from anything that could cause instability and exacerbate his symptoms.
One big thing I need to mention to everyone is that the media is hardly ever correct about any of these injuries. The reports in the media are mostly (are all) conjecture. Trust me, there aren't unnamed sources just willingly going around telling reporters about the injuries that are sustained to these players. Reporters 'report' these things because they overhear - they will never get a hands-on-view of these things.

At least Smith is practicing.
@mattvensel Joseph and Sendejo sit out again, Barr leaves practice: http://strib.mn/1lZGhQh
Antone Exum was with Harrison Smith in team drills with Sendejo out.

@christomasson Mike Zimmer had no comment on injury status of Linval Joseph, Anthony Barr and Andrew Sendejo. And he didn't even have a quip to go with it.

Re: 2015 Vikings Injury Thread
When are the weekly injury reports published that have the players listed as probable, questionable, doubtful, and out? I thought that initial injury reports were due on Wednesday and then final ones on Saturday?

No Joseph and Barr will be painful.
And if we add Smith (im betting there if another 1 or 2 Zimmer hasnt mentioned) we are in huge trouble. A healthy Barr is exactly what we need for Wilson and it doesnt look like that isnt going to happen. Wonder who their replaced are going to be.

No, it's not and with Stephen out too that leaves the depth at DT a little thin.DK Sweets wrote:Not awesome.
Johnson will start next to Floyd.

Re: 2015 Vikings Injury Thread
Tom hasn't been doing as well when forced into a starting role. Even though we might get Smith back we cannot afford to also lose Barr. Against a run-first team I can't imagine who would be a more substantial loss than Joseph, who has been a brute this season. I fear we're going to miss his presence up front substantially. Floyd isn't as big/powerful and unfamiliar with the position.Mothman wrote:No, it's not and with Stephen out too that leaves the depth at DT a little thin.

It's a big loss at a particularly inopportune time and I agree, they can't afford to lose Barr as well.dead_poet wrote: Tom hasn't been doing as well when forced into a starting role. Plus, they have a short week ahead. I wonder if Joseph will be able to play against the Cardinals.
