Heading into the season I seen an article on ESPN.com that said the Vikings group of receivers as a whole was faster than any other in the nfl.....based on what they ran at their given combine.

Thanks you. I was saying earlier than Wallace coasted on that play until he knew the ball was coming, but I felt like I was the only one who noticed.
It was a perfect throw that would have been 6 points if Wallace would have done the ONE THING he does well, which is to run fast in a straight line. Maybe he was mailing it in because of all the other times Teddy hasn't gotten him the ball, but that's no excuse for a professional.
I think you're exactly right. Wallace has lost Teddy's trust.
I don't think it was an issue with effort. To me it looked like he misjudged the throw. It looked like he started adjusting as if the ball was thrown shorter than it was. I thought maybe it was just me but now that two other people saw something similar it seems a little more realistic.

This isn't the best article but it does highlight things I have pointed out before, NFL isn't a sport. It's classified as entertainment (WWE is also classified as such).
Lastly and this is a biggie Vegas and the mob have had their hands in the NFL for some times if you think in a "sport" that can legally be rigged without repercussions isn't being rigged to haul in cash on betting lines you're disillusion.
So Mr. Subjective, kindly stop prodding the Vikings fans, I damn near put a table into my 55" inch T.V. when the "no call" face mask on Teddy happened and I knew it was going to be a flag fest in favor of Green Bay... Reading what others wrote I guess I was right (I accepted the loss at that point knowing the outcome)...
Or you had it in your head that it was goint to be like that. There are plenty of Vikings fans who aren't blaming the refs so I feel quite unapologetic about my stance.
I thought the Lions benefited from a lot of iffy calls last week, do I think it was some pro Lion conspiracy to hand them the game? No.

It was a sloppy game by the refs but they are not the reason we lost. We straight up got out coached and out played.
they should FAST TRACK an update of the rules in thee NFL , that if there be any pretending or exaggerating of contact by any players on any teams to precipitate a foul, they should be penalized according to what they were trying to get by deceiving the refs. what little of the game i did see, I saw GeeBee's kicker do it twice, their .25back once or twice. I thought that was a big fake out when that punter came right up on Patterson so when he turns around he's all over him, and provoked that tapping of helmets, and the guy immediately turns around like he's crying to his mother that he was punched in the face out of the blue.
the PLAY CALLING - Peterson was underutilized. They must have an answer to when defenses stack against the run, or get comfortable with frequent blitzes. Pack had not a sack for a month until we backslid to doormat status.
We've beaten packers 1 time in what, 6 years: I cannot comprehend. We need to aim to win out and secure better playoff seeding from here on out.

I agree that the refs called a sloppy game, on both sides, I'd like to see more consistancy but at this point it seems highly doubtful.

You have to watch early in the play. There's an isolation camera on Wallace. He's matched up against a rookie, and Aikman comments on how rookies often get burned because they don't realize how fast NFL guys are.
Watch the first 20 yards. Wallace is coasting, then turns on the speed when he sees the ball coming. All the effort was at the end, but he wasn't as far downfield as he should have been.
It's been said by many QBs that you couldn't overthrow Randy Moss, no matter who was throwing it. Well, I'm guessing Mike Wallace is every bit as fast as Randy Moss was. How come a rag-armed QB like Teddy Bridgewater can overthrow him? Maybe because he's not putting forth the effort?
blaming the refs is the losers Kool-Aid.....Our OL sucks so bad there was never a chance of us winning against a good team the way they played. When Teddy did have a good play, Khalil blew it up. I can't keep pointing at Teddy's failures given the horriffic play of the OL. Until management gives him a REAL OL you cannot expect him to develop much. I went back and watched the coaches film version again and the OL did nothing but get in the way of the real players on the field. If we draft nothing but Ol prospeccts this year I will be totally OK with it.

I've watched the whole play, including the isolation part of it, several times. We'll just have to disagree about this one. I thought he ran the route just fine, set the DB up and then blew past him and created separation. i don't think he was giving any less than a full effort. I think it was simply a play where he and Bridgewater didn't connect.

I read the same thing. Given the speed of this group of WRs, it's easy to believe that they are the fastest corps in the NFL. So if that's the case, the offensive passing game should be designed accordingly, in my view. Use the speed to make defenses pay for focusing solely on Peterson. And a team doesn't need a big armed QB to do that.
As I said in another post, I don't think the Vikings have to run only Wallace on go routes. Not when they have guys like Johnson, Patterson, and Wright who can all fly.

You are wrong:
Teddy's QB rating after the game: 100.7
Teddy's QB rating after the 3rd quarter: 126.6
Unless, of course, you meant that we're fooled by his QB rating being too low after the game because of the "meaningless completions"...
Teddy went 10-19 for 117 yards in the 4th quarter and 8-17 for 83 yards the final two drives (which I'm assuming you're talking about because they were after AD's fumble).

It wasn't that long ago DIGGS got deep, laid out for a ball, and got us a long TD! Wright has also used a nice double move in the past to get deep, he burned richard sherman pretty bad on one of them.

Yeah, quite the puzzling conundrum if you ask me LOL. Some say Teddy's arm is so weak that we have to game plan around it and yet he can over throw our fastest WR with ease? Seems like we can't have it both ways....
I'm only kidding of course!

I thought Jarius looked solid yesterday. He's sure handed, much more so than Wallace, and is very close to the same speed. He's underrated.
The guy I want next year is Josh Doctson, WR TCU. He may drop to the 2nd/3rd round because of the injury that has kept him off the field during the most important stretch of their schedule, but this kid is a beast. OTOH, we need about 2-3 linemen and a safety really bad.
