The passing attack is still a disappointment on a number of levels, though I'd say the pass blocking was the most painful to watch. It was about as bad as I've ever seen it this season, plus they couldn't block worth a hoot for AD either. And Peterson didn't exactly have his best game either.
No, he didn't although they didn't run him much after the first quarter, which was foolish. Did they really think they were going to beat Green Bay with Peterson only carrying the ball 13 times? They can't expect to beat good teams with playcalling like they had yesterday. Their passing game isn't up to the task.
As you said, the blocking was terrible.
The coaching took a hit as well. There was unlikely play-calling, what looked like a gap in preparation for this game, and an overall lack of discipline from top to bottom.
Indeed. It was a poor performance and they didn't look prepared to handle GB or the spotlight.

We can, thanks for the approval. You can't march a team down the field which ends up in a TD, at a highly pivotal point in the game where it's 9-6 and not say they didn't affect the outcome. The PI call on newman was legit. The double cancelling out flags where joseph "roughed" Rodgers was the turning point in the game. That was a hold on the offense, which would have shoved them back to the 45 yard line. The grounding on Rodgers, which wasn't called, would have made it 3rd and like 25 vs 3rd and 10. They ended up with a td on that too.
I'm not watching another Vikings/packers game until that assface Rodgers retires, I'm not even kidding. Tired of that stupid team and their fanboy referees
On top of that, if the hold HADN'T happened, Griffen would have sacked Rodgers for a 15 yard loss and Joseph's ticky-tacky roughing the passer call wouldn't have even existed. They wouldn't have even been in FG position any more. Then the Barr penalty! You have to be kidding me. That drive made me want to puke.
Our offensive plan, as most weeks, was to rely on Peterson and it just didn't work out in this game. I was amazed at how ineffective he was. On top of that, the fumble was really a back breaker. The offensive line had problems, yes, but play calling was also a major factor in the run game failing. The Packers had Norv’s number. The run call on the 2 point conversion was so terrible I couldn’t believe it.
It seems like Norv runs a bi-polar offense at times. At times it seems like they’re either going to constantly run it or constantly pass it. I’d like to see more balance.
Teddy did really well when they needed him to both through the air and on the ground. When he wasn’t on his back he did what he could to extend drives. Him being on his back was sometimes his fault but boy oh boy were they ever in on him quick. People are quick to blame the offensive line coach but you can’t polish a turd. The line is in shambles and the talent drop offs from starter to backup are huge in a few places. The Packers dominated the offensive line across the board and Teddy’s ability to work around that gigantic hole was impressive to me.
The sacks were brutal. The sacks (and penalties) are what really won this game for the Packers. The sacks seemed to come at the worst possible points for the Vikings and the penalties came at great times for the Packers. That is just how it works out sometimes and the Vikings did shoot themselves in the foot at times. However …
I’m not going to talk about the penalties all that much. I won’t say the refs called the plays ‘inaccurately’ very much (though they did a couple times) but I do feel like they were stricter on one side of the field than the other. Teams have off games but the Vikings going from the least penalized team to what happened yesterday … let’s just say a couple of quite important calls looked pretty ticky-tacky to me.
Anyway, I’ll leave my unsubstantiated thoughts on that and will ignore it other than to say the penalties were a major factor in the Packer’s victory. 110 extra yards and several free first downs are a boom for any offense. The team needs to be more disciplined.

That second point is so beyond subjective I don't even know what to say. Your essentially saying that the successful teams in the league all benefit from slanted officiating.
Two things, first you really better chill on inciting people you're acting very trolly at the moment.
Second, well either you don't know what the word subjective means or you're just defending the referees blowing Rodgers all the time.
This isn't the best article but it does highlight things I have pointed out before, NFL isn't a sport. It's classified as entertainment (WWE is also classified as such).
Lastly and this is a biggie Vegas and the mob have had their hands in the NFL for some times if you think in a "sport" that can legally be rigged without repercussions isn't being rigged to haul in cash on betting lines you're disillusion.
So Mr. Subjective, kindly stop prodding the Vikings fans, I damn near put a table into my 55" inch T.V. when the "no call" face mask on Teddy happened and I knew it was going to be a flag fest in favor of Green Bay... Reading what others wrote I guess I was right (I accepted the loss at that point knowing the outcome)...
My guide to being a Vikings fan:
Step 1.) Drink beer.
Step 2.) See step 1.
Think I'm falling on the side of the fence that feels that Uncle Norv must go. Really think the play calling on offense needs to be more creative....needs to be aimed at a player/players strength. To see the uber decline in Wallaces numbers. To see the lack of use of Patterson. Kinda predictable especially on 1st downs. I do realize that the OL also comes into play here....as well as TB holding the ball too long on some occasions. Should not have abandoned the run so early yesterday.
Before the Packers skid they was 6 - 0 they are still a good team.
We had a 5 game winning streak which was one of the better streaks currently...we are not going to win them all.
I know that would have been a sweet victory, But Zimmer said it best...we just didn't do enough to win!!
We need to get our head out of our jock straps!! The lost is not the end of the world....we have a young and upcoming team. Skol
I have always been aware of the effects poor officiating has on the outcome of a game. And I will leave it at that.

I agree when AD had 5 carries for 28 yds in the first qt. then to just kind of forget about him. And then when you do call his name it wasn't a good situation or play call.
But his fumble was totally no excuse, it hurt!! I would be happy to have them sit Wallace and give somebody else a chance. Heck a 5th round pick is out playing him.
The team is improving. We are winning games against average and below average teams. Obviously by losing to Denver and the Packers we are not there yet. Yes we got hosed by the refs who love Rogers, manning, Brady, Brees. These guys are gonna get the calls, face it. If you want those calls then get you a superstar who can do TV commercials and sell Tee Shirts. $ is the name of that game and we have nobody capable and famous enough for that. I see us winning 3 of the remaining 6 games at the most. We are 2-3 years away from being an Elite team. Bridgewater is an average to below average QB with no Accuracy on Long passess. He needs alot of work. Drafting, trading for, FA for some decent OL men couldn't hurt. Wallace isn't working out very well. Our TEs are below Average, need another safety and LB

Agree that APs fumble came at the worst time. Very well could have been a game changing situation. I don't think sitting Wallace is the answer.....I think if TB can't hook up with him on the long ball then lets use some intermediate routes. Whatever we do we need to get the ball into his hands. I'm just not buying into the talk that some folks think he has dropped off THAT much since last year. We just are not creating ways to get him the ball. Same with Patterson. They are on the roster....proven that they can score and we just elect to not be creative and get them the ball.

That fumble was definitely a killer.
In my opinion, Wallace has lost Teddy's trust. He's dropped way too many shorter routes for Teddy to trust him much, and even on that deep ball yesterday it looked to me that he wasn't running full speed until he realized the ball was coming to him (putting him a step short). When you make a lot of little mistakes like that, the QB doesn't feel very comfortable going your way.
Dont be fooled by Teddys passing rating. The end of the second half GB played just soft enough to allow Teddy to get meaningless completions, hence padding his stats. The truth is his day was just a further example of the same problems...hold on too long, not finding the open guy, taking sacks instead of throwing it away ( absurdly huge sacks for big losses).
The OL was as putrid as it has ever been against a team that got beat by DETROIT.....DETROIT!!! Teddy will soon get knocked out of a game due to their incompetence.
AP couldnt even get anything done due to the piss poor OL. He would have done better without them on the field, they just got in his way.
Don't blame the refs ( the ultimate losers excuse), Khalil deserved every penalty he got, and the head butt WAS stupid and intentional. We are a team on the bubble of being a competitor and that bubble was dependent on penalty free football...OOPS there it goes.

Agree....the trust just does exist. But, he did score 10 TDs last year (I know it's not an apples to apples kinda thing) and I think a lot of them were red zone catches. Imho we should do some short/intermediate crossing routes to get him the ball.....same with Patterson. Maybe some sweeps to either or both. When you have proven burners who have been proven at taking it to the house you have to find a way. We could sure use the scores.....

I think that Wallace probably hasn't dropped off much this year in terms of talent - but the fact that our passing offense is WAY different than in Miami and in Pittsburgh has compounded the issue. In Miami and Pitt he was targeted 7-8 times a game whereas he is only being targeted 4-5 times a game here because we typically only throw 25 times in a game. So basically he needs to make EVERY play for us to come anywhere close to having the same amount of production. When you add in the drops it makes it even worse.
It also seems like Teddy and Wallace have not developed any chemistry at all. Teddy's clearly got chemistry with Diggs and Wright this year and he had chemistry with Johnson and Jennings last year - but so far nothing from Wallace. I think that Teddy throws to spots more often than he's gunslinging it (i.e. Roethlisberger) - and Wallace seems like he gets knocked of his spots while Diggs, Johnson, and Wright fight for their spots a little more.
