An utter disgrace. This is exactly the type of performance I expected. This is exactly what the Minnesota Vikings do. As long as Rodgers is in Green Bay, we are not winning the NFC North. Pathetic offensive line play. Pathetic defensive play from a supposedly 'great defense.' Nothing can mitigate the embarrassment that was this game.

I suspect it was a "bubble burster". In other words, I imagine it dispelled some illusions people had about the Vikings (for example, the idea that they have a "great defense").

The team's making progress but they have a long way to go.

I stil;l think the Vikings have one of the better defenses in the league, but they played like crap today. Hopefully Zimmer can get them to play better in a hurry.

It's an above average defense, just not a great defense.

They need to get better but there's far more work needed on the other side of the ball. I'm worried about that in both the short and long term.

I still think it's a Top 5 defense. I still think we're a Top 10 team. We had a bad game, and we'll get better. I'm truly not worried, just upset.

I would be ok with them trading a 1st round pick to someone for an established Offensive Lineman in addition to drafting them almost exclusively for the first four rounds.

Against Denver Teddy went deep to Wallace on 3rd down in the fourth. Pass incomplete. Gotta be media darlings to get that call (or have Jerome Simpson flopping all over the place).

Exactly. This is still a young team in many areas, and one in need of some new pieces in others. We were not as good as our record and the Packers exposed this in front of a national TV audience (seems we often stumble in the big TV games).

The Vikes will lucky to make the playoffs this year, but will be a better team next year.

The Vikings are still 2 games up on the 7th place team in the NFC. It would take a monumental implosion for them to not make the playoffs.

You're usually on point but this is not one of those times. They got gassed, at one point joe buck said they had like 6 consecutive stops on third downs. To hold that team to field goals most of the game should be enough to win. The problem lies where CRUCIAL penalties that should/shouldn't be called ruin drives or extend them. The roughing call on joseph was complete nonsense. That would have resulted in a LONG FG with a chance to miss.

The "illegal contact" on barr was within 5 yards and he didn't even push hard enough to change the route. Moved them closer.

Then to turn around and not call a blatant face mask on teddy when he got hurt after calling one when Rodgers flopped after being tapped by joseph? That was an extremely crucial no-call in that situation. It's not always about numbers and yards when it comes to flags. It comes down to the situation. What down, where on the field.

And another monster no-call, where Rodgers blatantly grounded the ball. Threw it and literally nobody was anywhere near it and he was well within the tackle box. Next play first down. I don't get it.

The line played awful but this game went to the refs, I really don't care what anybody says

Monumental implosions are something of a Vikings specialty. :)

My concern is the schedule we have left... it's not easy at all. You can easily project this team to lose four of those games, including the last game of the season. That would leave us at 9-7... not a lock to make the playoffs.

@ Atlanta (6-4) Loss?
vs. Seattle (5-5) Win?
@ Arizona (7-2) Loss?
vs Chicago (4-6) Win?
vs NY Giants (5-5) Loss?
@ Green Bay (7-3) Loss?

Until this team can find a QB who can consistently threaten the middle and deep parts of the field with his arm, the results against good teams will remain the same. Bridgewater plays it way too safe and it is costing the team.

That starts with good protection. The OL, TE's and RB's have to get a lot better in pass protection.

Receive the snap. Step back 5 steps. Look around, dance a bit and step back 5 more steps. Stiff arm a 350 pound defensive lineman and step back another 5 steps. Take a sack. Repeat.
