Part of me feels bad for him as a human, but a more primitive part of me just wants to see our defense impose its will in a clean (but oh-so-violent) manhandling of a feeble player.

I feel the same way. Up until he throws for 3 touchdowns...

Like everyone else I am quite scared by this game. Denver has the top defense in the league right now I think. I think our defense can keep up in the game but if Teddy and the passing game doesn't kick it into gear this Sunday, then we will be in trouble. If Xavier Rhodes doesn't play then I'm confident in Trae Waynes. He showed promise yesterday against the Chargers so I'm going to put faith in him. Eventually he will be our starter and I think he may very well beat out Newman before the end of the season. Our defense will have their hands full if Peyton isn't pressured but I think the Vikings will get after him. Not that I'm wishing injury on him but we may put him out his misery, kinda like what the Bears did to Favre in 2010. I'm not going to predict a score because when I do that we lose but I will say the Vikings will win this by 10.

I feel like this game could be like week 2 and 3 for us on defense where we're able to get to the qb and especially stop the run (broncos havent done anything all year on the ground). Only thing that worries me is I think we could be looking at a week 1 performance on offense against that Broncos D.

We need 2nd half AD to show up to try and manipulate the score like he did last week. Rhodes suiting up this week will make everyone feel better. Go Vikes :smilevike:

I missed most of the Vikings game because of work but caught the second half... Wasn't much to write home about.

Watched the brocos and lions game... During the last quarter when they were talking the commentators pretty much said the broncos are going to be 4-0.
Like not even catty about it I believe the quote was "and Broncos are heavy favorites and move to 4-0". Thanks, guy guess I don't have to watch the game.

Hope Rhodes is okay, other than that Teddy needs to pull it together he is starting to remind me of a certain someone. If AD has a decent day I see this being closer than
most are predicting.
I'm 50/50 here I'm thinking...
23 - 28 Broncos (3 fg's 2 TD's) vs. (4 TD) - Broncos D is too stingy for us with Ponder jr. throwing low numbers and AD running into meat walls all day. Manning burns our D early than
relaxes and it was never really a contest despite the close score.

27 - 24 Vikings (2 fg 3 TDs) vs (1 fg 3 tds) - AD has a field day and finds the endzone 2x with a lg of almost 70 yd (sadly Teddy finishes the day with 96 y 17/28). Broncs have 14 points from the first quarter all the way to the last quarter when they mount a comeback that is foiled by a last second interception by Smith.

Edit:corrected mistake, that wasn't a mistake... that's it need a beer

Step 2.) See step 1.

Mathis has looked terrible since he's been in Denver. I think we need to tighten up the coverage and go press man and send the house at Peyton. Don't be surprised if you see a ton of blitzing at him. Zimmer is no dummy and knows manning is about as mobile as an oak tree. They can't run the ball either. I think we handle their offense quite well.

What worries me is our offense vs their defense. Outside of AP and Rudy, this offense hasn't impressed me at all and Denver has a very good defense. If Teddy can find a way to just manage the game, limit turnovers and hand the rock off a lot, we win this game. Call me crazy but I'm not worried about this defense vs. their offense. I mean they do have one of the worst offense in the league right now

I am with you, send the hounds at manning. Stick Rhodes on Thomas and let Smith ballhawk. I do not think they will score more than 20.

I don't think Rhodes will play. It wad pretty obvious he was knocked out. Looked like a bad concussion when he was hobbling to the locker room. I hope I am wrong but I think we are going to see waynes first start.

Broncos D tops in the league in pass defense and overall. The only chance the Vikings have is to run the ball. Their LBs are fast and likely gains will not be made from trying to get to the corner which is not really APs strength anyways. From evidence presented so far and the unlikeliness of it getting better in the immediate future, our passing game is going to suffer. It will be ugly on the road.

FWIW Zimmer said today Rhodes "feels good" and already passed at least one stage of the concussion protocol, which is amazing if true. Said he's a tough kid and will be "alright"

The Chiefs suck when they fail to include their best player into the offense (Charles). They get down and they panic and Alex Smith can't handle that type of pressure

They finally get Charles involved and he scores....what a coincidence  Call me crazy, but I think Charles is the best OVERALL RB in the league. The best overall RUNNER is obviously AD but from a complete RB standpoint, I would have to say Charles.
