That was actually worse than what I feared. Some people were saying 12-4 for the Vikings. Right now, I would think 8-8 is a stretch. What a horrible game, they should all be ashamed. I can't think of one player who even had a decent game... MAYBE Anthony Barr.

Harrison's hit on Kaepernick gets him at least an honorable mention.

This team won't win 4 games if they can't stop the run and block better on offense.

I thought Wallace had a pretty good game. He was robbed of a TD and made some catches in traffic. I was worried about him but he had a decent night all things considered.

I'm not sure what happened to the defense, they were getting blown off the ball and the tackling was poor. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kendricks and Blanton in the lineup soon.

As for Peterson, he didn't run with the violence I'm used to seeing. He had a number of runs where he just went down instead of taking the hit. I've never seen AD avoid contact before. I'm not blaming him, the blocking wasn't there tonight but he didn't look like the Adrian I remember either.

This is a young team so seeing how they respond to this loss will be telling. I think they came in overconfident and were brought crashing back to reality. Need to just put this behind and get ready for next week. No injuries at least (Floyd is ok right?)

here are my thoughts: there is always next year. this team is NOWHERE near as good as they were hyped up to be. teddy sacked 5 times; he will be hurt within the first month of the season. with no offensive line or defense line forget about it. they looked like a high school team out there tonight trying to tackle. zimmer prides himself on defense and tackling?? kapernick ran the same play probably 15 times out to the right (with the fake and short pass) and you mean to tell me we couldn't adjust. kaepernick might have thrown for about 130 yards he is NOT and ever was a good pocket passer. this team looked twice as bad as last years team ever did.

Difficult to be positive about anything right now. Set the alarm for 3am and watched arguably the worst 3 hours of football I've seen in years. It's amazing how feelings can change so quickly. Full of optimism before the game. Now, frankly, I'm fully anticipating a 5-8 wins season. Depressing.

To make matters worse, it's nearly 6.30am here. So all you lot that are about to head to bed to sleep off yet another Vikes failure, think of those of us who now have to work 9 hours straight on the bounce. I'm exhausted and frankly feel like phoning in sick - just like our shamefully pathetical O-line did today....

Happy Tuesday all!!

Everything I thought I knew about this season has been a lie. I am a mixture of confusion, disgust, and disbelief at the moment. This is not, in my worst nightmare (literally I had one a week ago), how I imagined our team playing. I can't understand..

We knew the line was going to struggle.. but jeez- 5 sacks? <50yds for adrian? 0TD 1INT for Ted?

I thought our defensive line would be a strength, however we were beaten badly at the point of attack all night. Chad Greenway looking as bad as he did, and still not seeing much of Kendricks is not encouraging. Our Receivers weren't doing #### the entire night until that 4th quarter mini-push. Ted repeatedly looked rattled.

This is the SAME OL' VIKES we know and love. I can't believe it.

Floyd returned. Also, Blanton played the second half. Barr improved in the 2nd half but got a pro fiesta focus grade of -68.4 in the first half. Greenway was worthless. Hodges couldn't make a play on the ball until the guy was 5 yards down the field. What a mess.

I actually disagree here. Its pretty much the only bright spot. The line wasn't terrible. the linebackers were HS level.

I'm not so much upset at the fact that they lost, but HOW they lost. It reminded me of the Leslie Frasier era. No run defense, no offense whatsoever, and just a pathetic game. How many awful games can we possibly endure?
This team is years away from contending, and I was one who, for whatever dumb reason, thought that they could surprise some people and make the playoffs. That is not happening this season.
I try to think of good teams from the last 10+ years and wonder if they have games like this... I haven't seen Green Bay lose like this in years. It just is depressing. Horrifically depressing.

Everyone sucked.

Norv is awful in play call (no rhythm) and design

Run defense is the worst

Hodges, Barr, Greenway all played like sallies.

Teddy is more conservative than Alex Smith.

Teddy's accuracy is no bueno.

McKinnon was good.

Sigh.

Best case scenario coming out of our bye week is 1-3 with a possible win vs DET..
