Except for the fact that Trae Waynes has horrible change of direction....dead_poet wrote:Wut.
@Andrew_Krammer: Zimmer: "It's hard to find 6-foot corners nowadays. To get big corners who can run w/ good change of direction, hard to find."

@ArifHasanNFL: When asked if Waynes adds new dimensions schematically, Zimmer said yes.

Except everyone and their uncle had him going to the Vikings at #11.dead_poet wrote:@christomasson: Mike Zimmer: "I know for the last week we've been sweating he might go before we had a chance to pick.''
Too much spinning going on.

Let's hope that's the last bit of BS we hear from Zim. If that was the case, they would have walked their card up to the podium the moment pick #10 was in.dead_poet wrote:@christomasson: Mike Zimmer: "I know for the last week we've been sweating he might go before we had a chance to pick.''

Watch the tape. Look at his combine. Play recognition and awareness aren't anything special either. I really hope I'm so wrong about him in a couple years. I have confidence Zimmer can help him though. We'll see.saint33 wrote: you know better than Mike Zimmer? Impressive

Oh, cmon. Don't go that route. You can have a different opinion than the front office. I don't claim to be some great GM, but I thought Ponder sucked, does that make me a genius? No, cause tons of other people did too. Hopefully Waynes ends up proving us all wrong that don't like the pick, doesn't mean we have to automatically agree with every pick the FO makes.saint33 wrote: you know better than Mike Zimmer? Glass half full: allowed only one TD reception in 2014.
Glass half empty: Too many penalties. Not a great tackler. Kalil didn't allow a sack his last year.
