Eh... it doesn't necessarily mean the Vikings aren't interested.
Plus, I doubt he makes it to us anymore. I don't think the run on pass rusher will happen like I thought it might earlier in the process. Cooper will be off the board by the time we pick.

I'd make an offer. Anyone in the late 3rd and after is going to have some sort of baggage or deficiency. I don't recall what he was suspended for though, was it something serious?

If you guys have time, check out this website: draftbreakdown.com

I have been using this website from time to time this offseason to watch certain college players' game film. It doesn't have everything, but it is a very good site.

Anyway, I thought I would post the various game films of the cornerback prospects in the upcoming draft. Here is game film of these prospects:

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/ifo-ekpre-olomu/ (Ifo Ekpre-Olomu)

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/marcus-peters/ (Marcus Peters)

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/trae-waynes/ (Trae Waynes)

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/byron-jones/ (Byron Jones)

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/kevin-johnson/ (Kevin Johnson)

http://draftbreakdown.com/players/quinten-rollins/ (Quinten Rollins)

I have been a Marcus Peters fan throughout the draft process, but I think the film on him I watched surprised me. I know he has some character issues, but there is no denying his talent.

I also hope this team takes a chance on Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. I know there is not much 2014 game film on him but he is still an elite prospect in my mind.

Yes I really like Peters as well. But I don't think he's worth the pick at 11. If we trade down, I would definitely consider him

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet
One potential trade spot? #Vikings at 11. They want ammo to move around in the draft, could move back. 5th-year options become cheaper at 11

Personally, if Cooper is gone (he will be), I'd try to move down. I'd be fine with Scherff, Waynes, etc at #11 but I don't think they're can't miss prospects.

For another contrarian viewpoint along the same line - just 5 studs and a bunch of question marks:

Never mind.
@AdamSchefter Dion Jordan, 3rd pick in 2013, is being suspended for 2015 season for another substance abuse policy violation, league sources told ESPN.
@AdamSchefter While Dion Jordan did not fail a drug test, per sources, NFL determined one of his test samples was diluted, which counts as a strike.

I think it's just about a guarantee we trade down unless Cooper falls

Hope it happens. Same value could be there in the early-mid 20's. Plus that equals more picks!

That assumes someone will want to trade up.

Rumor has it the Browns are in discussions trading their 2 first round picks to move up to #2 for Mariotta. I know it's not likely, but wouldn't it be sweet if Mariotta fell to our pick and the bidding wars started between Cle, Phi, etc.? QBs falling unexpectedly really isn't...unexpected anymore these days.

I'm fine with Parker as long as we have a trade lined up for Patterson.

Before they got Wallace, I would have been okay, not thrilled like if Cooper was available , but okay with Parker here at 11. BUT since they got him there is no way they spend the 11th pick on Parker. Ricky will trade back for more picks.
