Shoot, I feel left out. I only had one child, a son, and totally "brainwashed" him into being a Viking fan. He reminds me of the pain and suffering that he as endured and will continue to :(
Sorry son :(

I see he managed to avoid the Chase Ford play.

Even The Mothership seems to be avoiding controversy.

As you know, Jim, I won't get to actually watch the game until tomorrow. But this part of Goessling's Rapid Reaction bums me right out:
The game slipped away on a blocked punt, but Mike Zimmer likely won't be happy with the performance of his defense. The Vikings gave up four touchdown drives in the second half -- three of which measured 80 yards -- and didn't get enough pressure on Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who threw for 396 yards and four touchdowns.
Sounds as if the D burned out in the second half. If so, that has happened far too often.

I've been saying the team should use early draft picks on the offense. They might as well go BPA as far into the draft as possible. The D still needs work, too.

exposed how thin we are at LB today too. Without Greenway or Barr calling plays, we looked lost presnap way too often

You can say that again. The defense had a rough day, especially in the second half.

Agreed. They still have work to do in every phase of the game if they're going to become a championship team.

Zimmer's post-game press conference:

He's understandably frustrated about his team's overall performance today.

I think that goes without saying!

Yeah, I suppose it does. :)

Sorry, I meant they have a LOT of work to do, even on defense, where I get the impression some fans were starting to think they were good enough.

On the bright side, I felt like Bridgewater played about as well as he could have today. Disappointed in the way Rhodes played today at times, Captain played awfully, Hodges was shaky, even Harrison made too many mistakes, though that INT was awesome. I feel like seeing this game on film is going to make me feel even worse than I feel now after seeing it on television. There weren't very many positives defensively. Ugh.

I think the general sentiment is that the defense is improved (I would agree with that, though they didn't play like it today), but anyone who thinks this team is good enough to be a championship team (offensively, defensively, or on special teams) is crazy, IMO.

That was hilarious. I've been thinking that same thing for a few months now, but that guy expressed it in a funnier way! Good stuff.

Bottom line again, the vikings have still yet to beat a team with a winning record. They aren't talented enough to overcome numerous, big yardage penalties and turnovers and beat teams that reside outside the bottom rung of the league.

Teddy looks special. He's operating with a limited run game and an abysmal offensive line, but he's making big time plays not common to rookies.

Still, this team has lots of holes to fill. The vikings have 6 wins LARGELY due to their soft schedule. I caution against over-optimism for "next year". At least we seem to have our QB.

not trying to take away from your point, but no matter what happened in our remaining 2 games, this was not going to change

Were some of the refs calls questionable? Sure. But honestly not allowing the dolphins to rush for 5+ yards every time they ran the ball would have been more helpful. I wish the refs would have let the secondary play more physical but I guess that's the reality of the NFL these days.

On the bright side, teddy showed great poise in the pocket. Last week the defense stepped up, this week the offense, it would be nice to see the team as a whole show up for once.
