TB rating today. I think he is progressing, not regressing. So far I am optimistic about him.
“He's like a piece of gristle. He's got a great squirt in the hole"-- Brad Childress.
Re: 120.73
I'm trying to be optimistic, too. There are a lot of factors at play regarding Teddy and the entire offense, which I hope all improve.
Thanks mostly to the defense, the Vikings have emerged as one of the better "bad teams" in the NFL this season.

But how will we improve if we don't get a top five pick in the draft???losperros wrote:I'm trying to be optimistic, too. There are a lot of factors at play regarding Teddy and the entire offense, which I hope all improve.

Teddy had a good game. He moved the ball all afternoon. He did a lot with some key players missing.
The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

Re: 120.73
I was very encouraged, especially with some of the deep-ball accuracy he displayed today. Lots of poise, good decisions ... definitely a step in the right direction.

Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.
Re: 120.73
Teddy looked great in the cold today. That bodes well for him playing in the NFC North for multiple years.
Re: 120.73
Looked better. But it's easy to do when you're up a couple scores most of the game. Ask Ponder, he had a few of these games. Can he do it in a close game against a team that isn't one of the few with a record worse than his own teams? He missed a wide open receiver, and hit one. I'll feel good when he's hitting both. But overall he clearly looked better. Can he continue to do it? Probably for at least one more week against a terrible Jets defense at home. How will he do against a damn good Lions defense on the road?
You can't take it on a game by game basis or he'd be cut or extended every other week...

Re: 120.73
Teddy Bridgewater is a rookie... and there are times he plays like one. On the other hand, he's playing better than some rookie quarterbacks. Jeez, I remember Troy Aikman was 0–11 record as a rookie starter, with only 9 TDs, 18 INTs. It's way too early to tell whether Teddy will develop into a hall of fame quarterback, but I like what I see so far. Hope he stays healthy.

A 120 QBR is darn good in the freezing cold, with no running game, and a patchwork Oline. But keep comparing him to a failure if it makes ya feel better.

He completed 12 passes. Had 140 passing yards. But keep comparing him to Troy Aikman if it makes ya feel better.PurpleKoolaid wrote:A 120 QBR is darn good in the freezing cold, with no running game, and a patchwork Oline. But keep comparing him to a failure if it makes ya feel better.

Both sides of this discussion are insane. My goodness.

Re: 120.73
He's a friggin rookie dude. I know he's no Aaron Murray, but he did a great job today, in the wind. He is improving. But you and BP keep up your crusade against him.Demi wrote: He completed 12 passes. Had 140 passing yards. But keep comparing him to Troy Aikman if it makes ya feel better.![]()

I am not trying to pick on you Demi, just this type of post. Does anyone really think he just compared him to Aikman? Or Peyton? Or "Insert Hall of Famer here" No. All they are saying is that people with an ABSURDLY amazing track record started off WORSE than teddy has so we need to stop making assertions of "bust" however, the opposite could also true.
You aren't wrong to think he could bust, but really? If you cant fault an argument, don't. Its exhausting.
Re: 120.73
Please, focus on football, not picking at each other.
Re: 120.73
No, the post before him did.Does anyone really think he just compared him to Aikman?
The "argument" that seems to pop up quite often is naming a hall of famer or two that had bad numbers as rookies. The same argument came up with Jackson, and with Ponder. You aren't wrong to think he could bust, but really? If you cant fault an argument, don't. Its exhausting.
If anything is exhausting it's using the average or below average rookie seasons of some hall of famers in defense of the average or below averages seasons of our rookie QBs.
I think at this point he's just as likely to bust as not. I liked the pick. And he has issues. He's also showed promise. But overreacting after every game, one way or the other, is pretty ridiculous...
This "FYI" QBR post was made for Ponder as well. And people seemed to react in a silly way at times to those as well.

Re: 120.73
Actually it was 15 completions. But hey, a little exaggeration is always warranted when trying so very hard to prove a rookie isn't as good as Troy Aikman.Demi wrote: He completed 12 passes. Had 140 passing yards. But keep comparing him to Troy Aikman if it makes ya feel better.![]()

Re: 120.73
First of all he completed 15 passes and only attempted 21 which results in a 71.4 completion percentage which is pretty darn good. It's not like he was 15 for 30+. He made his throws count and that's what matters. They only had 24 minutes of offensive possession so you can't expect crazy numbers as a result. Analysts, announcers, beat writers, coaches and players all said they were very impressed by Teddy today. Not sure why anyone is arguing this. He took care of the ball, played well, threw some TDs and was poise. PeriodDemi wrote: He completed 12 passes. Had 140 passing yards.
