Let's all take a moment to be grateful we aren't Raiders fans. Yikes.

The Colts are close to breaking 50. The Rams already did it today. How many times this year have teams scored 50+ points? Are we approaching a record? It's getting ridiculous.

Nope... 12 men on the field penalty. The Bucs just keep finding new ways to lose.
Lovie and his staff might be fired. Wow, the Bucs are bad.

They took over a bad garbage fire... I think they get another year.

Great win by our team today! It's not much more than putting lipstick on a pig of a season, but I'll take this over losing any day.

I was happy to see the effort the Vikes gave when it was so cold. It had to be one of the coldest games any of them had ever played.

It was a very good win and Zim had them playing hard. Kudos to Teddy and Kalil, both seemed to improve.

Sorry. Had to get back to the neighborhood after the game. Hoping to see the Pukers lose.

Agreed. The Bucs have been close in a number of games this year and I think Lovie and co. inherited a mess. They'll get at least another year to get things going in the right direction.

Definitely a good win today. Still a little concerned about the run defense, but overall the team played hard, played smart, and really held Cam Newton in check. Obviously special teams were spectacular -- the two punt blocks were obviously awesome, but coverage was excellent, and Marcus Sherels had a couple of nice punt returns.

Another game ball to Xavier Rhodes. Man, is this guy playing his butt off. Once again, a bunch of passes defended, almost no completions his way, and a great play on the ball for what would have been his second interception of the season if not for a nice play by the Panthers' WR. This guy is a future Pro-Bowler, if he's not already (I realize there's little chance he'll get named to the team, he's playing like a Pro-Bowler).

Also big kudos to Everson Griffen. Played with high energy, got back in the sack column a couple of times, defended another reverse beautifully, and of course had the second blocked-punt touchdown.

Finally, hats off to Teddy Bridgewater. He threw the ball extremely well today. His 39-yard completion to Jarius Wright may have been the best pass I've seen him throw as a Viking ... really great to see him showing some deep-ball accuracy.

Very winnable game next week vs. the Jets.

Thoughts on the game:

- I think Patterson was only in for only one maybe two offensive series' the entire game
- Phil Loadholt might not be an elite pass-blocker, but we sure did miss him today. Harris got beat on nearly every play
- It seems like Charles Johnson is our number one receiver
- Everson Griffen is still a beast
- Xavier Rhodes was the player of the game IMO. He completely locked down whoever he was covering all game. Benjamin got a few catches one Robinson and Munnerlyn early, but Rhodes shut him down for almost the entire rest of the game
- Teddy played pretty well. He had a few nice throws, particularly the long one to Wright and the big first down to Johnson at the end of the half. Hard to judge him on a game where we had two special teams TDs and the other team was never really in the game though.
- Our run defense was pretty bad
- Asiata is bad and I don't know why he gets so many snaps when both Tate and Banyard are better

Fellas, just got back from the game - went to the Hole Sports Lounge near TCF after our win to watch the Packer game. Awesome win. Sure was cold. I'll share more thoughts after I thaw out.

Sounds like you're living up to your username. Man when they showed the fans in the stadium today I was shivering. Here in TX it was in the high 70s today!

Teddy looked really solid. I love his pocket presence and how decisive he is. I'm very pleased with his play this year.

Any word on Barr's injury?

Loved seeing EG's sacks, but there were stretches of the game where we had zero pressure. We could use a D-lineman (and OL, WR, etc. )

LOL - yes, it was frigid. At one point, I was in the bathroom taking a leak, and they have the KFAN broadcast going in there - I think Paul Allen said it was the 7th coldest Vikings game of all time! Teddy really did look good. He made some nice throws, didn't make any mistakes, and came up big where we needed him to. As for Barr, he didn't look too seriously hurt - was limping when he came off, but I wasn't too worried with how he looked standing on the sideline. It seemed like he wanted to get back in. To be honest though, I thought Hodges played great, better than Barr has been playing the past few games. I still wish we got him on the field more often - I feel strongly that he is a good LB. Greenway played much better! He made quite a few splash plays. Griffen was a monster! I loved seeing him out there - I know it's been said before, but it's hard to put into words how ridiculous an athlete he is - you can really see it in person. Wild.

The crowd was loving Teddy again. I'll admit, I was a part of the Teddy chants :D

P.S - Xavier Rhodes - unreal. He is playing at such a high level right now, I can't remember the last time the Vikings had anyone like him - I loved Winfield, but Rhodes is a different type of player. He is just incredibly tough for opposing WR to shake.
