No offense to Adrianpeterson28mvp but thank goodness they never went with a black or gold alternate jersey. I've always hated that idea for the Vikes. I'd prefer to see them keep black permanently out of their uniform color scheme. It's already overused in sports and since the Ravens adopted purple and black as their color scheme, all adding black to the Vikings uniforms does is make them less unique.

Thanks for the link!

Wow that gold jersey is ugly. Are we getting throwbacks this year?

If we went throwback, which ones do you think it would be? I would prefer old school with regular font, but they would be so similar I could see them going to the last version.

A throwback to the late '90s uniform would be nice for a game.

The old unis are more similar to the new ones than those hideous things they wore for a few years. Makes me wonder if they'll even bother doing throwbacks. I can't see much reason for it.

Agreed! All this change and a jersey from 40 years ago still looks better.

Add my vote to this sentiment (although I do admit to loving the matte helmets).

Going against the grain, as usual; I never cared for black shoes, with any Vikings uniform. I'd rather they have white, maybe add some color. I'm fairly confident I stand alone on this one! IN65

Maybe it's just me, but I hate it that we don't wear white pants all the time. The white top and purple pants on the road is ugly. Looks like a gym outfit and not a football uniform. It's even worse when teams, especially the Vikings, rock the purple on purple look.

This was perfection:

Yeah, that was a great uniform.

I hope they never wear the purple on purple look again and honestly, I'd be fine with it if they dropped the purple pants on the road and went back to white, as you're suggesting.

Noooooo, please keep the purple pants. I don't like the all purple, but the all white looks amateur hour.

That isn't a flattering shot, but it's much better than white on purple. It's amateur hour. Would Green Bay or New England ever do that? One reason why I can't take college ball seriously. Awful uniforms with Nike and FFS...pull up your socks.

I'm as old school as anyone, but I really like the white on purple look.

And yes, New England generally switches to dark pants on the road, as do several teams with white or gray home pants.
