Why do these guys put themselves into these situations? Even if no assault occurred, don't they realize that they still come out looking pretty scummy? I guess getting drunk and high and having sex with random women is normal behavior to most people?

Sadly, yes, it is fairly normal these days.

It's even more confusing to me how these "sexual assaults" keep happening with athletes. I'm sure they have hundreds of women throwing themselves at them, do they have to choose the only one who isn't...or that is too drunk to consent...or whatever? It is just plain sick. These guys DO have so much to lose; I have no idea why they put themselves into these situations, either. Stupidity and immaturity I suppose.

And don't forget that it is not unheard of for women who consent to later accuse. Especially when the guy is wealthy and has a lot to lose and may just settle out of court to be done with it.

Colin Kaepernick - QB - 49ers

According to the police report for Colin Kaepernick's "suspicious incident" on April 1, it was the players, and not the woman in question, who called the police.

Per the report, it was Ricardo Lockette who called the police after the woman reportedly refused to leave his apartment. The police then called a "crisis intervention team," which deals with calls "involving people with mental illness including those with co-occurring substance use disorders." It's appearing less and less likely that any of Kaepernick, Lockette or Quinton Patton will be charged with a crime.

I know people who have met him and they both said what a nice guy he was..

One of them kid has a heart defect and has already passed what the doctors timetable
(he loses friends every year that he meets at special medical camps) Kaepernic became
friends with ill child and calls him quite often to check on him. He does this all on his
own, does not sound like a bad guy to me.
