Could have been Bortles. They couldn't have had him that high as they had their shot and didn't take it. It's clear none of the QBs (except maybe Bortles) were very high on their board.dead_poet wrote:

Someone should be there.
Watched it. Doesn't have anything to do with Mosley not being a one trick pony. That's what I'm calling you on. Terrible take. You can be as high as you want on Barr, but to call Mosley a one trick pony is just off the mark IMO.Pondering Her Percy wrote: A one trick pony as in he's a typical linebacker. Might want to watch that. Whether is "kills" the discussion or not. Zimmer knows what he is doing and how he is going to use him. For us to sit here and say it's a terrible pick because we don't THINK it's a fit when really, its a great fit. He wouldnt fit in your typical Tampa 2 that Frazier ran but this is a whole different ball game now.
Zimmer says in that clip that he has him penciled in at like 3 different spots right now. Sorry but Mosely does NOT have that kind of versatility. Nothing against Mosely but Barr is a better fit in this instance. Zimmer likes thumpers in the middle with athleticism on the outside....it's been said multiple times. It just bothers me when guys sit here and say its a "terrible pick and not a fit in this defense"....like honestly....how in any way does anyone know if its a fit or not?? Sorry but I'm not buying it. Especially with a defensive mind like Zimmer
If that was true, why did they pass on him to take Barr?dead_poet wrote:

I'll be curious to see what the follow-up to this trade talk is and what the Vikings have to say about it. If, indeed, they targeted Manziel as their QB of the future, it was silly to pass up the opportunity to draft him at #9. If he wasn't the top QB on their board, why were they trying to trade up to get him?

No, you need to call your son Jimmie and see if he's gotten any phone calls. He only has to last like 10 more picks!Mothman wrote:I'm on it!
Just says he's the #1 QB on their board. That doesn't mean he was the #1 player on the board overall, the top QB could have easily been something like the 20th best player to them on their board overall so at #22 they felt good about trying to trade back up and get him. You don't take the 20th best player on your board if the 9th best player is there, that's called reaching and not because an ESPN talking head said so, but because your draft board said so.Mothman wrote: If that was true, why did they pass on him to take Barr?![]()
