4-3 is our base defense, MAYBE. We don't even know. Further, look at our division and the offensive weapons on the other teams. The Vikings will be in nickel a lot, where a Griffen/Barr combo has a lot of potential to shine.
He said Robison was OK, but that he doesn't scare anyone … so the Vikes should take Barr… to get more pass rush.

Bet Dallas will take Manziel if he is still around.

Why? Because you haven't seen Barr play an NFL game yet and you also have no clue how Zimmer's defense is run....yeah good analysis bud :roll: I have no problem getting Barr. The defense is becoming better and better

Rick Spielman starts off by raving about Barr's athleticism, pointing to his size and his time in the 40-yard dash. #Vikings
Rick Spielman says that Vikings had Anthony Barr at 4.47 at his Pro Day, and his 3-cone drill and shuttle as faster than this draft's CBs.
Spielman says Barr can play SAM linebacker and can cover in space. He will also be used to chase after quarterbacks.
Spielman says Barr can play Sam linebacker. Might Greenway be moving to weak side? #MINPick
AlbertBreer 18m
Rick Spielman compares picking Barr to Pattterson last year -- "You just don't pass up these athletic-type players. They're too rare."
Rick Spielman on Anthony Barr:
'He's only played defense for 2 years. He has great potential as an edge pass rusher.'
@mattvensel 18m
Spielman said his intel told him that Barr wouldn't last much longer. Also said he was the second-best pass rusher behind Clowney.
Spielman sees Barr as a Sam linebacker, and can use him on blitz situations to create mismatches vs. RBs #Vikings

@GoesslingESPN 19m
Spielman said #Vikings had some calls to move again, but didn't think Barr would last too much longer.
@Andrew_Krammer 19m
Spielman said he spoke w/ Jim Mora Jr. (UCLA coach) two days ago about Barr, which helped sway him.
‏@AlbertBreer 19m
Spielman says that Barr will start as a Sam linebacker in Mike Zimmer's base defense, play down on third down.
@mattvensel 19m
Spielman said the presence of top QBs in the division inspired the pick because they have to get after the quarterback.

He had his worst year when we had our best QB...

Trade him to Dallas in some sort of Romo/Murray deal...
