No matter who the Vikes select tonight, I guarantee their choice will make someone furious.

I leave the house for work at 5am. If I stay up late waiting for a splash, gol darnit Rick better be jumping in the pool. :-D

i'm with Texas Vike on the possibility of getting both Bridgewater and Mosely, Don't know if Spielman can pull this off ,but I think that would be the best scenario we could hope for. I personally think we will take Justin Gilbert if we don't trade out of #8 How would Gilbert and Jimmy Garoppolo be as our first two picks?

And others refuse to be disappointed no matter what they do.
Even if three years later it's a proven disappointment...they won't view it as a disappointment.

I think Barr is a definite possibility. Mayock thinks he needs a year to develop (as does Bridgewater) and I think he's probably right. Does that drop him out of the top 10? Maybe but we've seen a lot of guys over the years who are raw and taken early because of their promise. Some of them bust but then you have guys like Pierre-Paul who make the transition very well.

There's very few picks I hate this year, the top 50 looks really deep to be quite honest, much deeper than years past. A few picks I would be disappointed with but I don't think we're going to be shocked tonight.

I went with Bridgewater in my final mock. I think Minnesota trades down and grabs Bridgewater. If they cannot trade down, Barr may be the pick, but I still think Bridgewater is going to be the guy.

I am nervous :steamed:

I hope in three scenario

1) Trade down --> pick Bridgewater, Trade up with 40th --> pick Shazier/Van Noy
2) Trade down --> pick Barr/Mosley, Trade up with 40th --> pick Bridgewater
3) Pick Khalil

A little under two hours to the start of the draft and I just want to get this out of the way now: already sick of Deion Sanders. Haven't watched any pre-draft stuff but I'm sure he'll be up there, like every year, sticking a mic in these kid's faces and asking them these weird passive-aggressive questions. Already fed up with it.

I agree. But I have a feeling our first 4 picks in the first three rounds will not remain the status quo.

But I don't think our first pick changes. And I think there is a real chance they take Bortles with the first pick and then go mostly defensive for the next 3-4 picks.
A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.

They will wait until the 3rd or 4th round to get a qb unless JFB is there. IMO

Nope. Not with a new staff. 3rd and 4th rounders have little positive history.

I just have a feeling the Vikes are moving their 2nd round pick, if possible.
