Incognito
What are your guys thoughts about Incognito I think he could be a good fit, we could use a pro bowl guard and I think he would come at not to high of a cost considering all of the distractions.
The term fan comes from FANatic or fanatical.
Re: Incognito
I've been thinking about this for a few days now, and I agree. We need a LG and he is a proven player at the position, who was having a pro bowl type season before he was suspended. He was also a team captain and from many accounts I've read, has matured quite a bit from his days in St. Louis when he was a major problem to the team.
With the Jonathan Martin situation, I doubt he'll be that coveted this off season, especially after his tweets today. It appears his innocence in the matter is going be overlooked, and that should lead to him struggling to find many teams willing to sign him with the fear that he will be a distraction. So he should come cheap. And I think he is the exact type of player whom Zimmer would target, an aggressive, hard nosed football player who is being written off for reasons outside of his ability on the field.

The whole situation is really odd too, like best friends and he turns on him? Im thinking Jonathon Martin has something wrong upstairs in his head so hopefully we can pull Incognito. Minnesota media is a little bit easier than a Miami media im assuming also.

Re: Incognito
I think he's a dirty player, too prone to committing stupid penalties, and a bad, embarrassing headline waiting to happen. I don't think he'd be a good fit at all. He's everything the Wilfs say they don't want to represent their organization and the Vikings should avoid him like the plague.Mercy Percy wrote:What are your guys thoughts about Incognito I think he could be a good fit, we could use a pro bowl guard and I think he would come at not to high of a cost considering all of the distractions.

Ditto. I think the Dolphins are like the 3rd team to show him the door. That and he'll be like 32 years old this season. I bet the Zimmerman isn't even thinking about him.
A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.

Re: Incognito
lol Zimmerman
careful.
Yeah, I'd love a dude who just tweeted that J.Martin was going to kill himself last year. He's the kind of guy who can really get a locker room to bond!

A lot worse things were said about Pacman Jones and Vontaze Burfict. I think we need to understand that with Zimmer in town, the profile of the type of player we will bring into our team is going to change. Zimmer has already stated his preference for "underdogs".
BTW Incognito has gotten a lot better with penalties, especially stupid ones. In 8 games this year he only committed 2 penalties, one for Offensive Holding, one for Illegal Hands to the Face. Neither is a "stupid" penalty, it's just a part of the game. And he was having a pro bowl type season before the scandal.

Re: Incognito
I hate the off-season because everyone thinks every player is a good fit. This thread is ridiculous. Incognito is a thug of an NFL player and he has no business even looking at an NFL field for the rest of his life. Why would anyone on their team?

The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018
Re: Incognito
Has he ever been arrested? As the most arrested team in the NFL that might make him a better fit. And distractions? Wilfs love distractions! Hell they WERE a distraction just last year! And with the ongoing investigation into Priefer they already understand how to go about that aspect of it.Mothman wrote: I think he's a dirty player, too prone to committing stupid penalties, and a bad, embarrassing headline waiting to happen. Wait, culture of accountability. Two hundred page handbook. We don't want those players around here!

Re: Incognito
Are the Vikes even looking for a LT? Load and Webb aernt enough? Load was WAY overpaid, but adding depth wont help that.

Incognito plays guard

Re: Incognito
He sounds like a total caveman to me -- in other words, a real jerk. I would definitely have more trouble rooting for the team if he were on it. In fact, I'd have a lot more trouble rooting for the team.Mercy Percy wrote:What are your guys thoughts about Incognito I think he could be a good fit, we could use a pro bowl guard and I think he would come at not to high of a cost considering all of the distractions.
Just being honest with you.
Re: Incognito
Yes, a scandal with Incognito at the center, still showing the poor judgment and knack for getting into trouble that's been his trademark throughout his career. Why invite trouble into a locker room that's seen enough of it over the years? Incognito's simply not worth it.saint33 wrote:A lot worse things were said about Pacman Jones and Vontaze Burfict.
