I dig your new avatar man!King James wrote:Joe Webb???? He is not QB material. He never was and never will be. He played for UAB, a small school in Birmingham, AL. Who may face one top school all year and get blown out. I doubt he will even make the roster next year because he's not much of a WR either. We should've kept Stephon Burton but I think Frazier was overly-committed to Webb. Ponder might not start this year but he has to stay atleast one season. He's the only guaranteed QB we have because we don't know what Cassel or Freeman will do. And we don't know how the draft will work because we're not in a favorable spot to draft a QB in the 1st.

If Cassel is gone and we don't get someone better, we all need to commit hara-kiri in our bathtubs.

Congratulations. You just made Ponder seem like a better option.

Little know fact about the team when Ponder is the QB. Not saying he is 100% responsible for this. Just find it interesting.Mothman wrote: They could name Joe Webb the starting quarterback.![]()
People really need to stop acting as if Ponder is the Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse.
Average Vikings score with Ponder at QB.
2011 20.8
2012 23.7
2013 26.4

Oh, sh^t ... here we go. Another seven months of Ponder stats, proving to everyone why he's so grossly underrated.

Nope, don't want to see him start again. Just pointing out facts. As I said, the team scores when he played. He made mistakes as well. For the record.Eli wrote:Oh, sh^t ... here we go. Another seven months of Ponder stats, proving to everyone why he's so grossly underrated.
Cassel team averaged 24.8
McDirt team averaged 20.2

NO!. No punishment or torment could be worse than watching more P*****! I swear I'll become a Packer Fan before watching any more of that.Funkytown wrote:![]()

BUt yes, lets stop the craziness. He will NOT be starting again. Fortunately for us, Cassel threw in enough stinkers that its unlikely anywhere else will be a better option for him than here.

PA seems to be rather not gifted in certain aspects of mental agility, so I'm not surprised he would have someone on saying this crap.frosted21 wrote:As much as Boogereater's off field problems and eating of his boogers scares me, I just heard PA on KFAN saying that someone "who matters", explained to him that he fits Norv's offense better than any other QB in the draft.
Which is very valid. Big arm, pocket quarterbacks, great size, etc. There are some red flags, but ehh. I wouldn't be opposed I suppose.
So Norv runs the "suck offense", is that why someone who sucks would be a good fit? Or does he run the "Blow Offense"?

If he runs any kind of "Throw Offense". P***** is not the guy for him.
Re: Prediction for next season starting QB will be ......
Let's cross out fingers that's what happens. And that the Vikings, or the new coaching staff says that they're through with Ponder once and for all and give him his walking papers. I'd like to see Cassel, a rookie draft pick and anybody but Ponder on the roster next year. Is MBT currently under contract?Webbfann wrote:BUt yes, lets stop the craziness. Again, stop it, crazy. Quit making Ponder look like the better option, since that's not your goal.Webbfann wrote:NO! No punishment or torment could be worse than watching more P*****! I swear I'll become a Packer Fan before watching any more of that.

You'd rather become a Packers fan?

Ok, more fun facts on Ponder 2013. His interceptions and fumbles accounted for 52 points for the other team. Cassel, 31. Freeman, 0.
Detroit, lost by 10. 7 points off Ponders TO
Chicago 1. Lost by 1. 7 points off Ponders TO
Browns lost by 4. 7 points off Ponders TO
Seattle, lost by 21 17 points off Ponders TO
If he could have just not given the ball away so much that's 4 games.

Very interesting. This is just another reason why I will continue to say that this team has more talent than some think. Lets hope and pray we can get a QB of the future here this coming MayRaptorman wrote:Ok, more fun facts on Ponder 2013. His interceptions and fumbles accounted for 52 points for the other team. No kidding. Everyone knows he's the Third Horseman.Mothman wrote:

But I would feel much better if they cut ties with him. I think he is beyond reclamation for the Vikings and needs a new home. There is something to be said for physically getting away from the place where your career floundered.
