There is no guarantee that the Vikings will have a worse record that this year next season. They can't hold out on picking a QB this year when by next year they might be even higher then the eight pick. I hope they get Brigewater or Manziel. I think Brigewater is a very accurate QB something Ponder wasn't & he changes the play at the line. Manziel is young & he has this cockyness like Cam Newton. He might take a little more time to be NFL ready then Brigewater. If the Vikes get anyone of the two, they still will need to keep Ponder Yes I said it lol I think Cassel has Value & could be traded, to the Browns for their 4th pick in the first round. The Vikes could use their first & third along with Cassel to make a offer to the Browns. or maybe use Cassel to get back into the first or second round.

But it is a GLARING possibility since he is still currently on the team. I am not a troll, I like making bold predictions. So because I make this out of the world prediction im a troll?

Whatever you say buddy. If I bother you that much, just put me on your ignore list then you will never have to see another post from me again. How about that? :D
You doubt he will start, but its a glaring possibility? Are you bi-polar?

I do think Cassel has trade value. If I was Spielman I would make a offer. The Brown's have two first round picks. I would see about a trade with the Browns for their 4th pick. I am not all that sure the Brown's will go with a QB & pass up a much needed OT. A trade could benefit both teams The Brown's still get their OT & they get out of the high price tag of a 4th pick.

Cassel has a player option, if he wants he can become a free agent. If he has trade value, he might have free agent value...and decide to see what he can get.

I'm not Mike Zimmer, I don't know his thought process. Just like when everbody thought Cassel would take Ponder's job this season? I mean he did but Ponder had to be damn near injured for him to lose it. I think we all agree Ponder sucks. But don't you think at the same time that our last coaching staff didn't develop him the way they should? He was just thrown in because McNabb didn't pan out. Norv Turner is a QB guru. I think he can train Ponder to be better than he has ever been. Look what he did for the Browns. I know their record doesn't say much but the Browns had a pretty good offense last year.

Someone not currently on the roster is my best guess at this point. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

I know the shocking surprise answer of who next year's starting quarterback will be, but you wouldn't believe me if I told you.

You're both wrong. It's Culpepper. The MOA team thing was just a ploy to bring him back for negotiations with Spielman and the Wilfs.

Hopefully with Zimmer we're done with anyone who isn't clearly a better player to be given a starting job. Tjoke and Ponder just being handed jobs was sickening. Even when the backups were Gus, Sage, Cassel. All three were better, but we needed to tank seasons to find out if those two clowns were the future.

Hopefully none of these three QBs are given the job. Make them earn it. Open competition.

I said Freeman only because I think he fits Turner's vertical offense better. Give him and Cassel the entire year IMO they end up about the same. Hopefully we get a rookie in here that can push whoever comes back....and maybe even take the job!

Damn, I hope Joe Webb isn't even on the roster next year. Great kid, but enough is enough.
