Yes we get Mike Zimmer!!!!! I'm excited. A coach that finally has a voice. And if we manage to get Norv Turner as the OC I like our chances of being a top team in the NFC. I'm excited also for Xavier Rhodes, Sharif Floyd, and Audie Cole. Now they have a REAL coach that can help them improved. If we get Norv Turner, our QB, whoever he is, will have a great teacher to learn from.

Not sure what his situation is, but I'd like this
Ben Leber ‏@nacholeber 3m
B/c of Zimmer experience with both defenses, he should hire Wade Phillips and run a kick #### 3-4. #Vikings
Sounds like maybe Guenther though?
Adam Caplan ‏@caplannfl 7m
#Bengals can't block Guenther from leaving to take the #Vikings DC job, per source.

Obviously the one thing that can make any great offensive mind look great is a quarterback. Vikings get one and it's set.
I don't know about that but it would sure help. If they don't get one, we may have a thread like this again in 3-4 years. :(

I am curious as to who is getting canned on our current staff? I think almost everyone goes except maybe Jeff Davidson and Mike Prefier.

Isn't Zimmer's son a special teams coach in Cincinnati? Could he become the Vikings new Special Teams Coordinator?

Chance that Zimmer goes off the wall for a QB Coach and hires a student of the game in QB Whisperer Trent Dilfer. Read that on a rumor page. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leber has horrible takes. WADE PHILLIPS? The guy is blessed with JJ Watt and even then the Texans are god awful. They were incredibly impressive versus stout juggernauts like the Jaguars, Titans, Raiders, and the other pedestrian AFC teams. Whenever HOU faced an NFC team, they were awful

I would be happy with Turner as the OC. He never could get it done as a head coach....but is a decent OC.

Mularkey and Turner are the names out there now. Thankfully no more mentions of Linehan! I wouldn't mind Mularkey or Turner, but would prefer Turner. At least now we'll get someone who's called plays extensively and has plenty of experience.

Skol Vikings!

lofty tittles don't get the prize, but it might well be possible for noble centurions in authority (who can tell people what to do) to sway things favorbly. if not, who cares: see the book of Numbers ch.21 for examples of what the homeless united tribes of Israel did, against well established out of prison-kings who granted no victuals or passage (but much more the rather).

if mean muggin and dragon breathin just happens to win football games, then they can be my personal guest and hold up the pinnacle of publicity as the example for those who think they like it
