I would have to say Spielman has done a great job in the last two drafts bringing in solid talent.

You also have to remember....there is a plethora of good defensive talent out there that is projected to go early along with other offensive players as well. Just because those teams ahead of us need QB's doesn't mean they will draft them right off the bat. Cincy needed a QB but didn't take Dalton until the 2nd, Seattle needed one and waited to get Wilson in the 3rd, same goes for Philly and the Jets. If there is better talent in the 1st then you usually take that better talent. I HIGHLY doubt Houston, Oakland, Cleveland, Jacksonville, and possibly Tampa Bay are all going to take QB's and be passing up on guys like Clowney, Barr, Mack, Watkins, Matthews, etc. It's just not very realistic. So yes, I believe you could see guys fall. I also believe that if some do fall, Spielman could draft defense with the first pick and then trade back into the 1st (like I had him doing in this), jump ahead of those 5 teams that are picking early in the 2nd and take the QB that he wants. Then in a way, we get the best of both worlds.

I agree this is very important. Spielman is going to take his time and be very meticulous throughout this process which is completely fine with me. I believe he knows what he is doing. We just have to remain patient.
