Titans vs Broncos
Matt Prater just set the all time nfl record for a FG made at 64 yards going into the half. 21-20 Titans over Denver
Purple Pride till the end.
Re: Titans vs Broncos
And the Prater FG cleared the crossbar by mere inches. However all FG's in Denver deserve an asterisk IMO.

1. It was 14 degrees, the ball was a frozen rock.
2. Dempsey had no toes and special shoes
3. Elam and Janikowsky both nailed their 63 in Denver.
Only person that sort of has an argument is Akers, but he had a lucky bounce. Every kicker has the chance to attempt one at mile high every 7 to 8 years. Walsh will get his chance next year.
Re: Titans vs Broncos
3 of 5 longest FG's in NFL history have come in Denver. The thin air gives such an advantage that MLB started using a humidor to store baseballs at Coors Field to help keep baseballs from flying out of the yard. It has even spawned humidor conspiracy theorists lol.
And you're a year off. The Vikings don't play at Mile High until 2015. We play the 4 AFC East teams next year. And just because everyone gets a chance to play a game in Denver (if they last 8 years) doesn't mean they're going to get a chance to kick a 60+ yard FG.
Akers has the only legit 63 yard FG IMO because it happened in Green Bay which is only about 640 feet above sea level and the air is thick with the stench of stale cheese and sweat. Dempsy gets special mention for missing some toes on his kicking foot, but his FG was actually only 62 3/4 yards. By rule that should be credited as a 62 yard FG.
