How the hell does somebody get caught with such a tiny amount of weed? Do they just get to search his car for speeding or was the dummy toking up while driving?
Some of these guys in pro sports just do the dumbest things.

If you want a good story, read this:MelanieMFunk wrote:Speaking of drugs:

There's more to this than what we heard on the surface.

Yeah. I'll be fine with 1,000. No biggie.Juan answered, “¿Qué?” Then, seizing the opportunity: “How many pounds of weed do you want?”
“I’ll be fine with 1,000,” Hurd said.

Just had to give this a new name. Bowe isn't the only one, and if we believe Hurd, over half of the NFL is doing it!

And my favorite:Atlanta Falcons fullback Jason Snelling was arrested Friday morning and charged with possession of marijuana and various traffic violations, according to the Barrow County News.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200000 ... possessionAt 4:20 a.m., Snelling reportedly was placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug related materials, expired or no driver's license, failure to maintain lane, failure to maintain insurance and improper use of dealer license plate and no registration

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that the NFL's drug testing methods must miss a significant number of violators? Have players figured out ways to get around the tests?

If you ask me, it seems as if they have also taken on the attitude of "It's just weed, man." Sounds as if they are more concerned with HGH and whatnot. They probably know better than to randomly test for pot. They'd have to suspend a good portion of the players. I wish they'd do it, and they would quit being hypocrites and liars. If you really want a clean NFL, then prove it. But, from what I've gathered, the players know when their pot tests are coming. It also seems as if they are few and far between. Convenient, right?Eli wrote:Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that the NFL's drug testing methods must miss a significant number of violators? "It's just weed" IS the right attitude. It's the same with the NBA: if they actually tested for marijuana, they'd have to suspend a majority of the league. People need to realize that marijuana isn't this demonic thing that authority figures have made it out to be. Times are changing though...legal in Washington and Colorado but the federal gov't still considers it a schedule 1 narcotic along with all the really bad hard stuff. Something ain't right here...MelanieMFunk wrote:If you ask me, it seems as if they have also taken on the attitude of "It's just weed, man." Sounds as if they are more concerned with HGH and whatnot. The thing that gets me about these NFL pot arrests is that they always seem to happen while the guy is driving. I could care less if someone is smoking pot, just do it at home and not behind the wheel.

Kind of like drinking? Yeah. My joke, that really isn't even a joke, is that this stuff kills brain cells. Apparently it does. "Hey, let's go get drunk and high and drive around...risking our lives, and lives of others." I guess I'm crazy, but I expect better, out of everyone.HornedMessiah wrote: The thing that gets me about these NFL pot arrests is that they always seem to happen while the guy is driving.
