When people compare him to Tebow, they aernt talking about passing. They are talking about the way they play in NCCA compared to how that will work in the NFL. And it wont. Plus I cant Stand JFB. He's right up there with Ponder. I'd take the LSU QB over JFB in a heartbeat.

Another underrated area is A&M's offensive line, which I think is very good and buys Manziel a lot of time. All of the highlights show Manziel running around like a chicken without a head but if you watch the games, he actually gets a ton of time on most of his plays.
Exactly. He gets a ton of time, yet still bounces around for no reason. He cant just sit and throw. Plus his WR's bail him out so much. That will not happen in MN.

It didn't used to be like that. Unfortunately, some of the rules are broken and nothing done about it

Well, people are getting negative because OUR TEAM SUX and OUR COACHES ARE A LAUGHING STOCK....so, i cut the fans some slack, at least they stick around. None of this draft talk will mean anything unless we finally get a true NFL quality coaching staff. I love Z Wilfs willingness to spend ungodly amounts of his personal wealth on our team, bBUT he really needs a new Proven GM who can help him spend WISELY. It all seems so hopeless right now. I been bleeding purple for 40 yrs and I havent felt this badly about football since L Steckle and THAT was at least a very short experience.

Wait! What? Who was rude and called who stupid or dumb? We're 2-7 for god sake, and we're not an expansion team or in the 1st year of a rebuild, what's there to be positive about? We can't even be positive about the future because we don't even know what that entails at this point. It's a fan message board, and you're shocked that people disagree, debate, and discuss? That's THE POINT of a fan MESSAGE BOARD! :wallbang:

And gripe and complain about the same things over and over and ever day in and day out. At least come up with something new now and again

Well, that's not entirely true now is it? I think the mods deleted a few threads from the other day because they were just mocking another one/another poster. Wasn't one yours? Oh...wait. 8)

Regardless, things get ugly when the team is horrible. Football is emotional. The End.

:smilevike:

PS I think the mods do a fine job. ;)

Sorry guys, but Manziel looked pretty dang good on that opening drive for a TD. He must be a bust because he can throw the ball well, and doesn't roll out to his non throwing side, and float passes like he's playing "500" on the playground. He might not be family friendly for us tame Viking fans, but it's what we need

:point: He always looks good. The guys proves it time in and time in again. Look at the numbers.

I want the dude after what I saw this afternoon. The idea of a QB who can throw from the pocket with zip is a really fun idea. Might be scary to some fans but I really love the idea.

My gripe is with people who get all worked up about 'another thread' about so and so/such and such.... Who Cares!

Question.... Does anyone on this thread ever go past the 1st page on a daily basis?

I rarely read past the half way point of page 1. Everything else is old, and the threads become too long and I don't have time to read 20 pages in hope the subject changes.

I enjoy every thread about Ponder, drafts, stadiums, etc. etc. etc. New threads keep me coming back and interesting titles help me decide which threads to read. Had Purplehaze put 'I want this guy' in the middle of a draft thread, it would have been lost. And would not have caught my eye.

As a new thread it caught my attention, and I was glad because i don't know much about Johnny Football and was actually coming to this message board tonight in hopes to read about him.

So... Thank you Purple Haze.

Neat play. Dude looks like he has finesse on this throws. I need to see more before I judge. I wonder if I should start a thread dedicated to videos of Johnny Football. Where you can't make a comment without backing your opinion up with video......
