He landed hard on his shoulder which often results in a broken collar bone, ala Aaron Rodgers last week. When you break your collar bone you hold your arm just like that. Probably not the case now but it looked like it for a minute.

Well you just taught me something tonight. I was wrong!

I've heard a few different times that the collarbone is one of the weakest bones in the body -- or one of the easiest to break.
