Lets hope Ponder has a similar performance as the last time he got a chance to play the cheeseheads.

Re: Packers @ Vikings Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 8
It will be decided by both. The Vikings have had poor to mediocre defenses in the past and have had enough offense to overcome the deficiencies. As have many, many other NFL teams. Not with this offense, however.Raptorman wrote:This game will not be decided by the starting QB of the Vikings. It will be decided by the defense of the Vikings.

Another 30-31 win on a last second drive which seems to be the flavor this season. I wouldnt be surprised if this game ends on a last second drive.
When you're born, you get a ticket to the freak show. When you're born in America, you get a front row seat.

If Cassel was starting, the offense would do better, but we'd have about the same chance we have right now. Unfortunately our defense has almost made our offense irrelevant...Laserman wrote:If Cassel was starting we might have a chance

Because there's also a chance he'll lay an egg again like he did against Carolina?808vikingsfan wrote:If there's a chance the offense will do better, why isn't he starting?
There's a chance Ponder will do better too.
I'm not even sure Frazier understands it.I really don't understand the way Frazier is handling the QB position.

Or that he is actually handling it. Maybe Rickie is still whispering in peoples ear.Mothman wrote: Because there's also a chance he'll lay an egg again like he did against Carolina?

I think this has just been an elaborate and genius plan to juice up Ponder and make him take that next step in his maturation into our franchise QB. It may be wasted on a dud like Ponder but who knows, we might be looking back on this some day as the "turning point!"

No matter what happens in this game, the Packers still suck.

As with most things this staff does, they are waaaaaay behind. I was suggesting they bench him last year because I thought it would do him good. I think its too late now, and frankly this is so belated I just don't care anymore. I want to see Ponder flame out in glorious fashion, rather than show encouraging baby steps that keep him around longer.

Tonight we'll see if Ponder is pride-fueled... and if that's enough to overcome his other issues.

Thanks guys. I'm in my seat now. Little less than an hour to go. I have a good feeling about this game, but that could be due to all the Vikings love.mondry wrote: Have fun!
