Not quite. Sunday was his 64th career start. Ponder has 29. But keep striving for mediocre, Ponder might get there someday. I just hope it's with a different team. I don't remember their exact ranking, but yes they had a good pass defense and a top defense overall. They held Locker and the Titans to 125 yards passing and 229 total. Dalton and the Bengals managed to put up 280 passing and 407 total, and then they held Cutler and the Bears to 159 passing and 258 total. They're no slouch. We put up 248 passing and 393 total. Fair enough and I respect your opinion, which by the way, I some what agree with. I still feel as though he will have a good career in the NFL BUT not necessarily as a Viking. I watched Gannon's career and Brad Johnsons and they both were "dismissed by the team and fans and ended up being Super Bowl QBs. Neither were by any means great but were both good. That is were I would imagine (in my opinion) Ponder will end up as being good. He has flashed his upside many times and also his bad side. If his time as a Viking is ended then he will move on and hopefully be succeesful. It appears as though he did not get the two full seasons that I had hoped for but that is how it goes. He is a very good athelete with all of the tools to "make it" but he will need more time to develop and that, to me, is obvious. It will almost be worth it to me not to hear and read all of the crap that has written and said about him if he does get traded or benched. It will not take long for the usuall cynics to be dogging every thing wrong that Cassel does, believe you me and I assure you it will happen. I am a big FSU fan and will always be pulling for him.
And oh by the way I will be pulling for Cassel and/or any QB or player that is wearing the purple.

Lol. Thank god I didn't bend over back wards touting Ponder (last year's Arizona games sealed for me) like I did Tarvaris Jackson. I think most of you guys who have been on this board for a long time remember how adamant I was in my defense of Tarvaris.
