Not only were they road games, they were division road games in what many consider the strongest division in football top to bottom. Context lends credibility to the idea that these first two games are not necessarily indicative of future performance.
... and even if they are indicative of future performance, does enjoying them or seeing something in the team's performance in a 1 point loss make people "happy with being close"? I watch football to enjoy it. Last week I spent Sunday watching my favorite NFL team play a really, exciting, competitive game with a dramatic finish and I had the pleasure of experiencing it all in person. That was awesome. If there are people who can only appreciate a game like that if their team wins, that's truly a shame. There's a lot more to enjoy about a game than just the outcome.

Oh yeah? Well, you two are just homers... You probably started Ponder on your fantasy team and have Tahi jerseys too.

Heck, I'm still starting Tahi on my fantasy team and Fuad Reveiz is my kicker. That's the level of my Vikings commitment, man!

Thanks! I can't take all the credit. I saw a guy at the game last Sunday wearing a Fuad Reveiz jersey so he was on my mind. That's not a jersey you see people wearing too often!

I want him to either succeed or not...the shades of gray are making me gray....er

Yep I was. great memory!!!!

And I agree.....either succeed or fail THIS YEAR so we can move on, 1 way or the other!!!!!!!!!!

This gimpy #### team is made to play close games. It's been happening for the last decade. No I don't find any enjoyment in our bend but don't break defense being shattered on the final drive for a loss. And knowing full well it's going to happen as soon as they got the ball.

We weren't playing super bowl contenders. We're playing average to slightly above average teams. Losing by 1 doesn't mean squat. And no I don't enjoy it. Especially with the way the OC and quarterback are brain dead and the defense just gives out yardage like santa claus. Low Expectations, High Aspirations. We're an NFL team. We shouldn't enjoy losing no matter the circumstances. :wallbang:

Did they get a participation ribbon? Or maybe the FedEx "Try Hard" award?
  Don't forget the atta boys!!!
You can paint the stats to make them look good or bad. IF is a mighty big word for just two letters. IF they were 2-0 there would be much praise. I am not a fan of "everybody gets a trophy" mentality.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
