Agreed. With that said, I'm confused on why people are ignoring the point of the OP's post. ASIDE from that first play (which was acknowledged; the issue was the disappearing for the REST OF THE GAME), AP was pretty much taken away. People keep bringing up his totals and excuses, but that wasn't the point of this post. It was to acknowledge that he had a nice play, but was bye bye after that for the most part. They just showed the stats on NFL Network. After that one play, he rushed 17 times, for 15 yards, one TD, and for 0.9 yards per carry. And people want to sit here and pretend that is GOOD?!?! That is NORMAL AP?!? That wasn't our MVP Adrian Peterson disappearing on us?! Oh yeah? Well, I found him. He was on the ground, 4 yards deep in the backfield. Regardless, it's not AP's fault. Blocking and playcalling need to improve, and AP will be AP and make things happen. He had an amazing season last season and overcame a lot of the offense's shortcomings, but he can't do it forever. People need to improve around him--by A LOT.

I've got news for you. Vikings will not win the home opener. 0-3 bank on it. Browns will put 10 men in the box constantly. Stop AD and the Vikings lose. All the NFL knows this now

I'll take that bet! Weeden will be lucky if he's not carried off the field. Our defense will be much better next week.

I understand the frustration, but consider the Vikings still put up 30 points (in a road game, no less) with these limitations. I'm not confident we will win, but I'm not that confident we will lose either. Since we're not going 0-16 this year, I'd say next week is probably a pretty good opportunity for a win...

To be fair, the defense put up 7 and special teams put up 7.

Further, no TDs from the offense in that 2nd half of Ponder magic, so while I think everyone was happy to see Mr. Ponder stop imploding on a regular basis, I share the concerns of Laserman. I'm not willing to call a loss as I think the Browns are probably every bit as inept offensively as the Vikings for the most part, but it's shaping up to be another nail-biter.

I'm calling a Browns butt whupping. The Vikes will come out chapped and salty, the brownies will fade midway through the 3rd.
It will be good to have a home crowd~

I'm with you. I think it will be a decisive win for the Vikes.

I'm right there with you, I think we're going to be super pissed off and at home with the crowd against a weak browns team it's gonna get nasty.

As for no TD's in the 2nd half or whatever, hard to do when the games on the line and musgrave calls run, pass, run, kick the field goal and hope for the best mentality. Series before that? Peterson scrambles for like -12 yards setting up something like 3rd and 21. He could have got a TD regardless but meh.

BTW, for what it is worth, Peterson is 49 yards ahead of last years first two games in rushing. As well as one more reception.

AD is having an average RB year so far. With a poorly coached team like ours, with no leader on offense, a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde QB. I expect more from AD. I guess im used to it. But theres so much blame to go around.

True, but the team still scored 30 points (which was much more than I expected) now matter how the points were divided between the squads. Having said that, I am simply not confident enough either way (winning or losing) to make a prediction against Cleveland. I'd give us the advantage being at home, though...

193 yards rush, 2 rush TDs, 5 rec, 25 yards rec, 1 rec TD.

That extrapolates out to 1544 yards rushing, 200 yards rec and 16 rush TDs and 8 rec TDs. That would put him at #2 in rushing in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 4th in 2012. To be honest, he has had an above average start to this season. He's just caused us to become so used to his superhuman exploits, this seems average for him.

I said for AD its an average because, he is our offense. And a lot of those yards and rushing TD was on the opening play. 1 play. He has been very bottled up since. And then the TOs. Again, I love him and watching him. Against our divisional opponents I was hoping for more, esp. against the Bears. Oh well. 0-2 has me down.
