I'm wearing my tattered "1998 NFC Central Champions" T-shirt... the one that says "See you in Miami" at the bottom.

We'll see. I'm not willing to throw in the towel before the opening kickoff. :LOL:Laserman wrote:Man oh Man I see no way we can win this game. All the bears have to do is focus on AD and Force Ponder to play very well, and we know that isn't happening. Only a miracle can save ponder's career now. I will never buy in to the dink and dunk, 5 yard slant pass, game manager QB west coast style of offense. Ask Little of your Starting QB and wideouts and Little is all you get

I'm finding it a little harder than usual to get excited for this game. I guess I'm a little scurred.
Either way, we got this!

Christian Ponder - QB - Vikings
Appearing on FOX NFL Sunday, Jay Glazer reported Christian Ponder is on a "much shorter leash than anyone has any idea about."
Glazer hinted Ponder is perhaps just another bad start or two away from Matt Cassel taking over in Minnesota. It's not terribly surprising. A benching became a very real possibility the second the Vikings handed Cassel a two-year deal, while Ponder's play was simply unacceptable in Week 1. If Ponder is similarly inept against the Bears at Soldier Field, we could be staring at Cassel starting against the Browns in Week 3.

wow thats reall shocking! I thought the staff was going to give ponder anouther year even with his mistakes, Cassel may be worse but he could also be better.

I wouldn't be.
Illinois played on that field yesterday (and got whooped by my Huskies at that) and I guess it's raining there right now. Messy field means a lot of AP and hopefully a neutralized Bears passing attack.

Oh, don't tease me like that... they will stick with Chrissie until the season is lost and then they will let him finish it off.justinkendle wrote:

Yeah. I heard him say that. Not exactly surprised. Everyone wants to win, and if Ponder can't handle the pressure and get it done...next man up! With that said, I hope he gets his crap together and starts with a big W today.dead_poet wrote:Christian Ponder - QB - Vikings

If we don't win the line of scrimmage (or at least improve quite a bit from last week) it's going to get real ugly, real quick.

Oh great, it's raining there. That field is gonna turn to slop real quick. I hope we don't have to watch an ugly game like that Pats/Jets game on Thursday night.
