As fans we tend to focus on the negatives a lot more than the positives, especially when it comes to our own team. Here's to a great season for the Vikings...players, coaches, front office, and us fans a like. I look forward to enjoying it through all the frustrations and joys with you all.
Fantasy Prediction: 13-3
Realist Prediction: 8-11 wins
Aye! I'm lookin' forward to the season too, Cap'n!
(Please read that first line in a pirate voice).
Seriously, I don't know what to expect from the Vikings this year but that's part of what makes it exciting. I can't wait for the first game of the season on thursday and the Vikes opener on Sunday.

I gave up 'caring' about our record after that disastrous 2010 season. I still hate to see the team lose, but it doesn't eat at me like it used to.
This season, all I want to see is the absence of a #### show on Sundays. I want better play calling and better discipline. I have a feeling that the Vikings probably will be short of the playoffs this year, and I am more than prepared to accept that. I however hope that the Vikings play each game to the best of their abilities - I will not tolerate a team that half-#### it.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to another year of football.

I know the feeling. I became that way after the fourth Super Bowl loss following 1976 season. I hate losses now, but I don't lose a minute of sleep over them. In fact, I find the difference between a 6-10 season and a 10-6 season with a playoff loss to be surprisingly small.

Haha! I totally read that first line in a pirate voice (ala Captain Jack (which I can do a dead on impression of btw)) before I even got to the parentheses.

For me it was Mr. Gibbs voice, not Captain Jack. Couldn't hear Jack saying 'Cap'n' to anyone. But I too had the voice before I got to the parenthetical...
I'm ready. Negative or positive, off-season gets old quick and it'll be nice to see some games. I'm a Vikings fan first and foremost, but I enjoy watching nearly any NFL game.

I'm with you guys. If I don't work, I watch football from noon to the end of Sunday Night Football every Sunday. I've been doing it for years. I need to get a life.
It's almost here! Finally! I feel like the last few weeks have. gone. so. slow. Tomorrow night is the start of the new season! I wish it'd hurry up and get here!

This has been my tradition for the last few years as well. My friends being mainly hockey fans (since I live in Canada) always would tease and joke about me being such a big football fan. Joke all they may I believe football games you get your money worth, they often joke how football players only play 16 regular season games a year and hockey players play 82.however I just believe this just makes the games more intense since football teams can't afford to throw games and sit starters till the last game of the year, where as in hockey they will do this stuff in the beginning, middle, and end of season. They usually shut up after than one . Can't wait for Sunday either! glad I got the Sunday ticket this year.
