Nobody mentioning our 2nd rounder CB Darius Slay? He's going to eat Ponder alive.

He's a cannibal? Holy smokes, the Lions are terrifying.
My prediction? Peterson runs for 185 yards and two TDs, knocking your cannibal on his backside on the way to the end zone. Vikes win by 7.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.
Including now, HOF WR #80 Cris Carter

Re: Hi, from Lions Nation
This is a HUGE game for the Vikings. It's the more winnable of the first two, and with both being divisional games really important to get a W. They need to start the season on a roll and get momentum quickly cause things are just going to be tough schedule-wise after London.
I think the game will hinge on how much pressure they can put on Stafford. Not just hurrying him but actually knocking him out of rythmn. It'll be important to contain Bush and limit what he gets YAC.....cause if the Lions are able to make it to the red zone I don't really like our odds. I won't be sold on our CBs and LBs until they actually sell me something...until then, I see them as a big liability against Megatron and Pettigrew in the red zone.
There will be a lot of pressure on our D-line early on this year...IMO~

Re: Hi, from Lions Nation
I think there are a few key battles that will determine the outcome of the game:
- Lions defensive front 4 against the porous Vikings offensive line. Unless the preseason work of the Vikings offensive line was a complete anomaly, I think the Lions are going to be very disruptive up front, which in turn is going to cause an already skittish Ponder to be even more so, and cause problems for an AD who never got to knock any of the rust off during the preseason.
- Vikings are going to have to show they can handle a Lions offense that can create big plays in the passing game. I think the Vikings will be able to handle the Lions running game, but I'm worried about the potential for big plays in the passing game, especially after watching Kaepernick victimize Josh Robinson repeatedly in San Fran. I expect Stafford and the Lions to target him as well.
Should be an interesting game. May the best team win.

The problem with the Lions finally having a winning season two years ago? Their fan base has come out of nowhere to trash talk after a decade + of pure toilet bowl poop stench
Pull yr 84 jerseys out.

My only concerns is holding up against the Lion's front four and trying to limit Megatron's touches.

Here's to a good game without any injuries. I'm watching the game at a sports bar with a friend from Detroit. Should be interesting
