Felton won't count against the Vikings roster while he's suspended, so Line could be in for a three-game run in the regular season. But Felton's three-game suspension may have people jumping the gun on keeping Line more than that. A policy change now allows players suspended for violating the substance abuse policy to remain around the facility and participate in meetings. Felton will have to take the pads off for a month starting on Aug. 31, but he won't be ostracized from the team. His return should be rather seamless.

Face it, once you need a 3rd QB in a game, and you're calling up either Joe Webb or MBT, you're pretty well screwed.
I know I'm a broken record on this, but, my God, were the Eagles, Lions, and Redskins games that many years ago that you (and so many others) can't remember?!?

#Vikings cut RB Joe Banyard, who had a nice finish Thursday night. Likely practice squad guy if not claimed on waivers.

Sigh... really thought he would have helped us on 3rd downs as a pass catcher if they even wanted to get a tiny bit creative.

Hopefully he makes it to the practice squad. He looked decent.

I really like this guy. Also, I read in his little bio section that he used to hunt rattlesnakes in his free time. :D Stud!

It's too tedious to link on my phone, but Krammer of 1500 reports McKenzie and Colin Andersen have been released as well.

Banyard should be starting over Gerhart.
Instead they cut him.
He has no place in this stupid 90s big ten offense. Doesn't shrink the field as well as Toby. :wallbang:

He is too fast and athletic for Musgrave to plan any plays for. But then Musgrave doesn't bother any pass plays for AD.

Vikings waiting until the last minute to announce the final cuts. Hoping Christian Ballard walks through the door yelling "I'm back!".

Stephen Burton - WR - Free Agent

Vikings waived WR Stephen Burton.

The 2011 seventh-rounder has just seven career catches. He might draw a gander on waivers, but will likely go unclaimed. Perhaps the Vikes will stash him on the practice squad.

Does this mean Webb made it? Or did Rodney Smith sneak his was on?

Cuts announced so far:
TE Colin Anderson
RB Joe Banyard
WR Stephen Burton
TE Chase Ford
OT Brandon Keith
LB Tyrone McKenzie

6 down. 16 to go.

Burton cut is slightly surprising. I think it means Webb is in.
