I really like the idea of making a guy play without a helmet as a deterrent. That would be interesting to see how the player responded once he got his helmet back~

For sure. They would appreciate it as protection and not think of it as a weapon. I bet they'd learn to make plays on the ball and wrap people up instead of trying to knock heads off. Just a guess, though.
