Everybody is talking about those passing plays but I enjoyed seeing that Leroy Hoard TD again!

Thanks for the videos, PurpleMustReign.

I loved the way Carter (my favorite all time Viking) mentored him and was always downfield blocking on pass and running plays.
Let's hope that CP is half the receiver Moss was
Yeah, it was cool to see the energy that the receivers have w/ one another. The whole boxing celebration w/ CC is awesome. If I remember right this was the first game, nationally televised to boot, that Moss just exploded on the scene. Can't believe it's been 15 years already!

I can't either. Wow, time really flies...

On the rushing TD, I like how CC is running with Hoard and trying to shield him from defenders all the way to the end zone.

I think that game was actually a few months after Moss first exploded onto the scene in a nationally televised game. If I remember correctly, that Cowboys game was played around Thanksgiving and Moss' huge receiving performance in early October on Monday Night Football at Lambeau was sort of his "coming out" party in '98.

It was a magical season... most of it anyway. I forget how it ended. ;)

There is/was a user by the handle "Todd R" who has a bunch of classic games on file but he never got to upload them to me/send me the file. Let's all bug him to make a secret youtube video of this game

Want to know what's great? Some of our best years have happened because of an ELITE passing game to go along with our strong running game.
Pull yr 84 jerseys out.

Jim, the game was on Thanksgiving... hence the title of the thread 8)

One of the greatest azz whuppings of all time, cause everyone saw it live on Thanksgiving.

I can't consider that season a waste. I know they fell short...but the memories of that teams dominance will always make me smile. The was the greatest rookie season ever IMO. AD has a similar quality...only he seems to be getting better. Amazing to have both of these guys play for the Vikes.

The Vikes have had some truly phenomenal players over the years.

I'll never consider the '98 season a waste. The vast majority of it was a blast!

Five TD's of over 50 yards! I forget how good that team was sometimes. They just toyed with a Dallas team that probably had ten HOF (not by my definition though) members.

Fond memories of that game. I had a friendly bet with a rabid Cowboys fan at work. He had to wear a Randy Moss jersey in the office for a whole day and declare in front of everyone that the Vikes were the superior team. Never recovered. :)

And the flea-flicker... How many times did that work for the Vikes that season? It was a deadly play.

No kidding. If there's ONE play that should work with AD it's the flea flicker! C'mon Musgrave... resurrect it!
