He is not in anymore. It was the backup on the last bad snap.

And to think, we are excited to watch this game.

I think we all just realized how much AD really does for our team. He makes everyone else look better than what they are. The End.

soflavike wrote:Okay, Ponder wasn't getting a lot of help from the line, and AD isn't playing to draw attention from the DL, but that was still a pretty shaky outing by the 1st team offense.
It sure sounded like it but one thing to remember about preseason football: it's not just about trying to get players sharp, it's also about trying things out in game situations. For example, a little while ago Ben Leber was saying on the radio broadcast that the Vikings were using some bunch formations with slow-developing routes and asking RBs to pick up rushing DEs. Those plays broke down but they may also be plays the Vikes were testing. Considering the results, they may not make it into the regular season playbook. :)

None of that excuses sloppy play, of course and it sounds like that's been a big problem tonight. Hopefully, the first team offense will look sharper against SF next week.

I think that was Joe Berger that time at center. The entire 1st team offense has been pulled.

That's not much of a relief. They both had brain farts tonight.

Look on the bright side guys. At least the offense was on the field when a td was scored. :P

I want to quit watching but the offense is like a car wreck. I just can't turn away.

I think this destroys any thoughts that Cassel might outplay Ponder in the pre-season.
