Media FYI

Post by dead_poet »

Looks like Pelissero will be joining the USA Today sports staff in July.
At this fundraiser and I see the news is out. I am beyond excited to begin covering the NFL for @USATODAYsports beginning next month.

Thank the football gods. Get Tom P. out of here.

Congrats to him, but I'm glad he won't be representing this organization on ESPN anymore.

Announced this morning over twitter. He was my favorite writer for the Vikings. Good luck to him

Really? Wow. I thought he did a pretty great job. YMMV.

Is this a joke? Do you prefer the absolute blind homerism of Wobby? He's easily the best guy for breaking things down

Tom P. is a good writer, but he is a huge dbag. He is often very negative and represents the Vikings poorly... IMO. Its almost impossible to follow him on any social media sites. Dude constantly is talking down about our Vikes. I know its not his job to be a fan, but his primary audience is the fan base. Its like he doesent realize that.

Time for some fresh blood all around - team, media, new unis, etc..

Looking forward to a fun, exciting, suprising 2013 campaign.

SKOL!

His job is not to be a homer. His job is to be an unbiased reporter/columnist.

I disagree. The only guy I recall he dogged on a little was Mike Jenkins.

Needs to be unbiased. Follow Wobby for continuous happy, positive spins on everything. The Vikings have their issues. He reports on them and provides his opinions. They're generally on point and based on film review/Vikings and other NFL sources.

Tom P. was the man. You have to be a little rough and honest with the team at times. Ponder could be 2/20 with 30 yards and Wobby would spin it positively

I enjoyed him also and will miss his reporting. It will be interesting to see who replaces him.

He sounded like Ben (Adam Scott) from Parks and Rec.

Anyway, bummer, because I would rather have him than Judd Zulgad. I think that guy is a complete hack.

I wish him the best but I'm definitely going to miss his reporting on the Vikes. I think he's done an excellent job.

He's one of the best; Very professional and articulate. it's not surprising that he was able to move up to a higher profile gig. But USA Today? Man that's a lame venue!

Tom P did a pretty good job covering the Vikings offseason activities this year. He's a better job than Mike Wobschall.
