Barkley and Nassib still on the board means the Vikings can be primed to take my dude Tyler Wilson in the 5th or 6th. Would be sweeet. Best QB in the draft, dudes.

Quinton Patton and Marquess Wilson still there for receivers too. Wilson was rated up with Allen before the year started as one of the top WR prospects of this draft. Started the year rough and then had a falling out with coach Leach, but the kid has plenty of talent so keep your eyes peeled. Da'Rick still out there too.

And um...A replacement for Toby. Dare I say, Lattimore????

A little disappointed that all the linebackers I want are off the board. Hopefully we can grab Quinton Patton and or Barrett Jones tomorrow!

If Barkley is available for us in the 4th round I say we take him. I know he was initially ranked as a top 5 pick for last year, and then at the start of the season he was ranked as a top 10 pick in this years draft. I know he had an injury in his throwing shoulder that required surgery, but other then that I'm not sure why he has fallen this far? I think drafting him as our #3 QB behind Ponder and Castle would be good for the team. Give him time to develop and if Ponder fails we would have someone that has been getting groomed (1 or 2 years?) that we could then try out. Having watched a good number of his games (living in Alaska I get almost every Pac 12 game) I believe he has the skill set to make it in the pros given time to develop on the bench.

Agreed. If Barkley falls to us, we should take him.

Ponder seems to be a coin flip right now.

The thing that I see at this stage is that, had we kept the picks instead of trading with New England, we would have likely filled the wide receiver slot in the second round... And then had very little of value other than another WR in the third round. Could the Vikes have pulled the trigger on Brown in the 2nd round, making the draft defense/defense/defense? Would that have been defensible?

Yes, it would be nice to toss a flyer at one of the QB's at the end of the 5th round. But I have to believe there will be a run on the guys that are left, coming in the early to mid 4th.

I would have loved it! The best way to keep Adrian Peterson on the field is to make sure the defense can get off of it! We have the best kicker in the league, go for some sweet 12-6 score wins, maybe throw in a safety here or there for 2 points and we got this.

We don't need any ISU LB on the team when we already have a Hawkeye in Greenway

We don't have the time or the need for Barkley with the few picks we have left. Another DB, OL and with whatever they have high on their board.

Don't forget about Khaseem Greene, If we can sneak away with Greene or Patton in the 4th Once again Speilman would have came and conquered another draft. In my opinion anyway, but hey what do I know..

One more safety for Jared Allen and he would hold the record for most safeties in a career! :smilevike:

This is what I was just going to say. He is one of the best if not the best Linebacker for our scheme left out there. The kid is everywhere a plays in coverage the majority of the time which is what we need. I am not sure why people seem to think we should draft Barkley when we still dont have a MLB... plus Barkley sucks and is no where close to the best QB still on the board. WE HAVE 4 QB'S ON OUR ROSTER WE ARE NOT ADDING ANOTHER ONE!!

If we could some how grab Greene that would be a solid pick... If we could get Greene AND Patton, Holy #### or even Da'Rick Rogers would be a great pick. I wonder what it would take to move up into the 4th to give us two picks at the start of the night?
Well, 2 of those 4 Qb's could fairly easily be gotten rid of. I wouldn't complain about Dysert, Wilson, or Nassib at our 4th.

So Khaseem Greene is our last hope for an upgrade at LB?

I know there are lots more pressing needs but I would really like to get Wilson , he has great upside and would help push Ponder.
