Dwayne Bowe - WR - Chiefs

The five-year contract Dwayne Bowe signed with the Chiefs Tuesday is worth a total of $56M and contains $26M in guarantees.

It's a highly favorable contract for Bowe. He got $15M in a signing bonus, giving him $36M over the first three years of the pact. It's a tick richer than the five-year, $55.555M deal Vincent Jackson got from the Bucs last year and is significantly more than the $36.3M the Saints gave Marques Colston. Bowe's deal also sets the bar high for free agent Mike Wallace. The Dolphins may have to come with something in the neighborhood of $62 million over five years to land Wallace, the best wideout left on the market. Bowe is now the NFL's third highest paid wide receiver, behind only Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald.

Exactly. Don't expect a FA acquisition at WR, unless something is truly going on with relations between PH and the Vikes. We'll pick up a Safety or CB IMO, and draft 2 WRs.

Greg Jennings - WR - Packers

According to NFL.com, free agent Greg Jennings "isn't as valued by the [Dolphins] as many outsiders believe him to be."

It's another sign that Jennings' market isn't going to be as robust as he thinks. He'll be 30 in September, has missed 11 games over the last two seasons and was proven to be replaceable in the Packers' scheme. The Dolphins have made no secret of their plan to break the bank for Mike Wallace and re-sign Brian Hartline. Jennings is "Plan B" at best. He recently told Bills WR Stevie Johnson that he "wants to be in warm weather or stay in Green Bay."

Philip Wheeler - LB - Raiders

The Raiders are negotiating with free agent SLB Philip Wheeler, but he "(isn't) sure" if he'll be back.

"I'm anxious," Wheeler said. "I'm not sure if it's going well or not." Wheeler is open to signing elsewhere. "(There are) plenty of teams out there. It's very important to me to get back to being part of a winning organization." Wheeler graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 6 4-3 outside linebacker last season. He was a rare bright spot for a talent-deficient team.

Matt Moore - QB - Dolphins

Dolphins re-signed QB Matt Moore.

Contract details aren't yet available. The move further dilutes the wafer-thin quarterback market, and is an indication Moore wasn't expecting to draw serious interest as a starter. The deal should make him one of the league's better paid backups, as the Dolphins clearly value his veteran presence behind franchise QB Ryan Tannehill.

The "top" of the QB market now consists of Brian Hoyer (RFA), Chase Daniel, Jason Campbell and David Garrard. There's never been a worse time to need a quarterback.

Matt Hasselbeck - QB - Titans

Matt Hasselbeck confirmed Thursday he's working on a restructured contract with the Titans, and admitted his release is a possibility.

"Well, yeah, if we can’t come to an agreement, I guess that’s what they’d have to do," Hasselbeck said. "Again, I’m really hopeful (I stay), but I understand that some things are more out of your control." Hasselbeck is scheduled to make $5.5 million, and count $7.5 million against the cap. Despite the Titans' need for a viable backup to Jake Locker, Hasselbeck's salary is prohibitive for a player who appeared near the end last season.

Chris Gamble - DB - Free Agent

Panthers released CB Chris Gamble.

The expected move creates $7.9 million in both cap space and cash savings. Gamble is still a fine cover corner, but was limited to four games by a shoulder injury last season. He's recovering from surgery, and is three days shy of his 30th birthday. The Panthers are left with one of the worst cornerback depth charts in the league, topped by Josh Norman and Josh Thomas. Gamble should draw healthy interest in free agency, but is entering a crowded corner market. A reunion with John Fox in Denver would make sense.

Regardless, Minnesota needs to go balls to the wall and sign this guy. Screw Mike Wallace and Greg Jennings, Danario is a much better option and it would give us a better chance of keeping Harvin.

They should definitely look into the possibility of signing him but the problem is how much do you offer a player with his history of knee injures? It has to be enough to make the Chargers decline to match.
