Favorite Vikings' Moment?

Post by Texas Vike »

This probably isn't my all time favorite, but it's got to be up there.

No sure if it is my favorite moment, but it's one of my favorite moments. "Hey Mo! Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk"

Very nice choice. Randy was a special player; so fun to watch b/c of plays like this one.

That was a great moment!

This one is hard to beat:

There have been a bunch of great plays by Vikings like Alan Page, Adrian Peterson, Cris Carter, Moss, etc. that I simply loved. That Moss lateral to Williams is probably my favorite Moss moment.

Sweet choice, Jim! I'd never seen that play live, but I'd heard about it. I was born in '75, so my Vikings' fandom was just developing. I was probably wearing Vikes' pajamas with this on in the background.

My dad met TK after one of their games. Said he smelled of alcohol! 2 minute Tommy is a legend.

Another one of my favorites. Nice job. Two-minute Tommy comes though! :v):

Wow. Your are saying that your dad met TK after a game and he smelled like alcohol. You mean right after the game or in a bar

LOL! I guess I wasn't the only kid who had Vikings pajamas. :)

That reminds me: over the holidays, I was at my Mom's house, looking over old photos and there was a picture of me as a very little kid wearing a Packers helmet and jersey. I was horrified! I told my Mom I have no memory of ever liking the Packers. She explained that I didn't but that, at the the time, she could only find a helmet and jersey for two teams, the Bears and Packers. I like the Bears better than GB now but apparently, back then, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with them.

A year or two later, she was able to get me a full Vikings uniform from the J. C. Penney catalog. THAT I remember! I wore that thing at every opportunity.

He's my all-time favorite Vikings QB. He had an uneven career but he was a fiery competitor and when he was on his game, he could be unstoppable. Another of my favorite Vikings "moments" is when Kramer and the Vikings out-dueled Dan Fouts and the Chargers' "Air Coryell" offense in 1981. Kramer threw for 444 yards that day!

The games in Green Bay and Dallas in 1998. Talk about fun games to watch. That offense was incredible. We have not had an offense close to that team since.

Edit: And hearing Pat Summerall and John Madden call that Thanksgiving game gives me goosebumps. I loved watching games they did, especially when it was the Vikings.

I never realized how close AD was to breaking a 90 yard run on that second to last carry. If the SD defender doesn't get a good grip on ADs unifor,m he's gone. That would be about a 350 yard day!

Those games were fun. :) I remember when the Vikes converted a third and 20+ in that GB game and the announcers were laughing that the Vikes seemed completely un-phased by the down and distance. I've rarely had more fun watching the Vikes than I did that season.

Honestly, my memory is fuzzy, so I'll ask my brothers when I get a chance. But from what I remember he said he ran into him outside of the Met and he smelled of hard alcohol. I do recall that he said he was funny as hell.

I'm not sure if he played that day or if it was a game in which Wade Wilson started. Some posters could probably help here: was there a time when Wilson and Kramer were battling for the position?
