How was this season a disappointment? I think it was a rousing success. Remember, we weren't supposed to sniff the playoffs.
No im saying we need to look at QBs (backups) and STARTING LBs....before I think alot of fans thought backup LBS maybe....but Erin and Jasper are backups at best....plus Guards...even Webb didnt have enough time. Load got blown away by another fast LB/DE......last week our needs didnt seem so great as they do now.

Too everyone who wanted Webb there ya go! Ughh this is horrible he makes Ponder look like the Messiah this is horrible and the Defense hasnt played to bad. Makes you think what would of happened if Ponder could of played, He has that Eli clutch gene in him.

Well guys I'm signing off until FA starts. We all have to admit it was a MUCH better season than anyone expected!!!

I must say, ponder must not be as horrible as I thought. Still hope they replace him, but after tonight I really hope they keep him as a backup and SERIOUSLY upgrade the WR position.

Hope Harrison's knee isn't too serious.

See you at FA!!

Lol look at the time of possession for GB and Minnesota. That should tell you why our defense isn't doing that good anymore.

Mothman wrote: Eh... easy for Souhan and co. to say but what does Webb really do well? His best plays usually come when he sets up in the pocket, the pocket breaks down and he makes a play with his legs. He's not a good enough passer to ask him to do a lot of rolling out and passing on the run. We just saw what happens when he tries that: INTs.

The bottom line is Webb just isn't an NFL-caliber QB. They gave him his shot at focusing on the position this season and this is the result. Spielman has to go get a better backup (or two) this offseason.
Well that goes without saying but he was the guy tonight and they played him like he was ponder. Maybe it would not have made a difference but it would have been better to play to his strengths rather than stick to the gameplan. You may not agree, but tonight you're in the minority.

That timeout on the first drive really killed momentum, had the Vikings not had to take that timeout and they probably get a TD.

I don't know about that. It's hard to rack up an advantage in TOP when your offense is 3-and-out on nearly every possession...

And then it would be 24-7.

And this is what makes it that much more painful. beating them last week, hearing them insult AD about 9 yards, and then being 100% outplayed by them. :wallbang:
