Playoff Hopes Looking Better, But AD's Hopes Looking Bad.
After today's game, our playoff hopes are looking better, but AD's record hopes are looking out of reach. He will need to repeat his performance in the previous game against the packers, in which he ran for 210 yards. What confused me is that at the end of the game, they put in Gerhart. I don't know if AD got injured because I didnt watch the game, but I thought they would have tried to keep him in. I guess they care about making the playoffs more than AD getting the record.

TROLL. Only a troll would make a statement like that.

They should care more about making the playoffs than getting AD the record. As a team, the former has to be their primary goal.Dark wrote:After today's game, our playoff hopes are looking better, but AD's record hopes are looking out of reach. Frazier said AD was sore and was held out late for cautionary purposes.
The record is still within Peterson's reach if he can match the yardage he gained the last time they played GB. He's 102 yards away from a 2000 yard season so that's definitely within his reach and he's already found a place in the top 10 (NFL) rushing seasons of all time.

Well then lets just hope AD has a great game next week. I am happy we got the win and I care about the playoffs more than the record.

Given a choice of AD getting a record and the team making the playoffs, if I cannot have both, I will take the team in the playoffs every time.

Blair Walsh is setting records left and right.

That 56-yarder today was ridiculous. At least 3/4 of the way up the posts when it went through ... like a freaking 30-yarder.Hunter Morrow wrote:Blair Walsh is setting records left and right.

Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.

In a recent interview Walsh said 65 is a possibility, but said no way to 70 lol. Maybe he could hit a 70 yarder in Denver. Too bad we don't play there again until 2015.
Wouldn't that suck if AD is held short of 2000 and the Packers knock us out of the playoffs? We'll have to put the whole state on suicide watch.

Soooooooo......if we beat the pack next week are we most likely in?
Re: Playoff Hopes Looking Better, But AD's Hopes Looking Bad
If we beat the Pack we're in no matter what else happens. 100% done deal.yezzir wrote:Soooooooo......if we beat the pack next week are we most likely in?

And if that happens, the Packer end up 11-5. The 49ers, if they beat the Cardinals at home, will be 11-4-1 and take the #2 seed and get a first week bye, bumping the Packers to #3. So if the Vikings beat the Packers next week to get into the playoffs, the odds are good that they will play them again the following week in Lambeau.Demi wrote:If we beat the Pack we're in no matter what else happens. 100% done deal.
Make no mistake, the Packers want a first week bye, so they'll be coming to Minnesota to win.
