I don't see how it lacks class to kick a field goal there...if you have an opportunity for points you take it, imo...whether it be the first minute or the last.

You play to win the game. There are no bonuses for style points. The game was won. Frazier is teaching the players that winning is the important thing - the only thing.

Ive never been a student of that. A coach gets the talent out of his players. He plays the ones that do the good job and inspires the others to become better. Same with executing games. But as with the rest of the vikings, I think Fraizers has come along wat from last year. And thats alot coming from me. Plus it makes me happy cause I like Fraizer and want him to do good.

he didn't draft ponder, and he doesn't make the throws in game. he's almost certainly been told to keep him as the starter.

It's impressive but the Vikings have in fact, had a number of impressive road victories in their history, hard for me to categorize. Most impressive to me would be some of the road playoff wins.

Ah. Now I have the ones - the two road victories in 1987 were more impressive. You are right. But it might have been that long.

Oh, and 16/30 for 174 for Ponder...not elite numbers perhaps, but much better than what he's been giving us, right when we needed it!

Beating Joe Montana and San Francisco like red-headed step-children at Candlestick in 1987 might be the greatest road win ever by the Vikes. Anthony Carter was amazing that day...
