The Vikings are a shiftless, underachieving franchise. Even the Saints & Bucs, both former perennial NFL doormats, have Super Bowl rings. It's truly embarassing... :( :? :x    :wallbang: :steamed:  :puke: :hammer:  :hang: :rip: :wtf:

No, I'm being rational.

Rationalizing is blaming a team loss on one player because you're upset with his performance.
Better QB play means longer, more effective drives with points scored at the end of them (versus INTs). More rest for the defense. Fewer emotionally-deflating plays.
... and better defensive play means more opportunities for the offense to score points and fewer chances for the opposition. The Packers had the ball for what, 9 of the first 10 minutes in this game? I'm sorry but that's not excusable, whether the offense goes 3-and-out on the first possession or not. Allowing an , 18 play drive late in a close game isn't excusable either, whether the offense has struggled or not. How much time did that drive take off the clock, 10 minutes? How many penalties did the defense commit today?

Ponder's performance was inexcusable but the defense didn't play winning football for 4 quarters either.

Game was already lost. Ponder deserved the last snap so he could walk off in shame.

In the last few weeks the team has lost games they might have won with Webb at QB. It is indisputable. Sub 100-yd passing games are once in a decade event and we have too many.

No, he's realistic... Ponder has no arm. They could have put Webb in there to launch some hail-marys... you might get lucky and get a catch or a PI... but then they would have a QB controversy and Ponder's feelings might get hurt. It's not about winning, it's about developing young Ponder at all costs.

What we learned today...
Peterson is even better than we thought.
Ponder is even worse than we thought.
Peterson is our deep receiving threat.

our game was competitive, which it really shouldn't have been. the fact that we are so one-dimensional yet managed to hang around on the road is a credit to some of the other guys on our team

And on the last Packer 4 down before they called a timeout the was a Packer player on the field without his helmet on and the clock running, Automatic 15yd penalty and Hocouli's group NO CALL.

OK, but this isn't the 1st time we've watched Sub-100 do this. This is a pattern. Not coincidentally, the defense seems to get tired late in Sub-100's sub-100-yard games.

True, but they played well enough to get a win on the road IMHO. AD played well enough to get a win on the road.

Frazier's supporters are going to rapidly dwindle if he continues to play Sub-100.

I'm surprised he wasn't laughing it off.
