You pull it back and buy some time, look for an open man... maybe the receiver adjusts and runs a sideline route. It's pointless to throw him the ball when Tillman is lined up two yards in front of him. You run the risk of a pick six and the upside is near zero.

one thing I don't understand with Musgrave is why he doesn't call that play with the throw to Wright on 1st or 2nd down. get to a manageable 3rd down so that even if you have to throw short like we usually do the 1st down is possible. Its not just today, something I've noticed all season.

There's some of that. But Simpson, Wright, Jenkins, and Rudolph may not exactly instill fear into the likes of Charles Tillman and Company.

That can NEVER happen. AJ Jefferson should know better. No discipline.
