I'm so sick of going to the well... Why can't we just find a freaking franchise quarterback? Seriously! Seems to me that around 80% (or more) of NFL teams currently have a franchise quarterback, be he a rookie or a veteran. We, of course, are in that 20% and have been for as long as I've been a Vikings fan. That's pathetic. Time to find an answer. For real.VikingLord wrote: Ponder has no awareness. He had no idea he couldn't step up there and he took the sack.
Vikings are going to have to go back to the well for a QB again this offseason... !@#$!@#%!@#%

Ponder doesn't trust his receivers? You need to prove yourself as a passer before you distrust your receivers.

Spooky.
144. Adrian Peterson's 144 yards are his most ever in a 1st half. His best in a 2nd half? 253 yards in week 9 of 2007, five years ago today.

This is true, like that ball he forced to Jerome earlier. He trusts him, to some extent.Captain wrote:i dont think Ponder trusts any of his receivers. I'm not trying to make excuses for ponder, he is sucking pretty badly. I'm just saying it feels like he has zero trust in his receivers, look at some of Luck's throws today into double coverage throws it up knowing his guy will make a play on the ball. Do we even have anybody that would do that? At least from Ponder's perspective it doesn't seem like we do.

I don't buy that he can't get open. Within 40 yards, decent QB's can throw to their TE's.Purplemania wrote: He can't get open...aside from that, Rudolph also has had some weird drops. Granted, the throw was not accurate but still...

He completed two passes over 10 yds. today... 13 and 14 yds.MrPurplenGold wrote:He's thrown effective 10-15 yard passes. You can dislike him all you want, but he has thrown DECENT mid-range passes.
He is 7/13 for 42 yds,,. 7 completions for 42 yds... that's 6 yds per throw... whoopeee!
He is 25th in the league in yards/attempt.
Sorry, not "feeling" his mid-range passing prowess.

I went to kolledge and Ponder still sux. There ya go!acousticrock wrote:I would be very curious to see a study that compares people with some secondary education and people who make outrageous statements about Ponder that never take into account a holistic view of the offense.
I bet the correlation is very low.

Come on now, dont get down on the kid. If he completes both of his attempts per game over 10 yards that would be an improvement.soflavike wrote: He completed two passes over 10 yds. today... 13 and 14 yds.
