lol...very tricky. You had me the whole time!!!glg wrote:There is no benefit of switching in this one. It's similar to Monty Hall, but not the same. The teacher has announced an incorrect answer without knowing what your answer is, where in Monty Hall, Monty knows your answer and has to act accordingly.
Sorry, I said earlier, I like "gotcha!" riddles, which this one is because it's deliberately setup to remind you of Monty Hall
Someone want to post a new one?
a riddle for you??

3. Friday is his horse's namedead_poet wrote:Because these are pretty easy, I'll list three:
3) A cowboy rode into town on Friday, stayed three days, and rode out again on Friday. How did he do that?
Two more challenging ones:
1) There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?
2) With pointed fangs it sits in wait,
With piercing force its doles out fate,
Over bloodless victims proclaiming its might,
Eternally joining in a single bite.
What am I?
1. Startling
2. A stapler? (If i remember that one correctly)

Re: a riddle for you??
OK, These are silly since no one has offered a serious one:
Wots blak and white and red all over?
(I've heard a couple reasonable answers to that one)
What's red and green and goes 100 mph?

Right on all accounts. You're too smart for riddles.HardcoreVikesFan wrote: 3. Friday is his horse's name

Lol, thanks. I wasn't too sure about the english word one. I remember hearing either startling or starting. The stapler one was hard to remember. The reason I am good at most of these is because I have heard of most of them.dead_poet wrote: Right on all accounts. You're too smart for riddles.

Re: a riddle for you??
I'm going to give this one a bump, just because I tend to enjoy reading riddles/puzzles. I posted these two relatively silly ones a few days back, only because no one else seemed to be contributing after all the others seemed to have been posted.
Wots blak and white and red all over?
(I've heard a couple reasonable answers to that one)
What's red and green and goes 100 mph?
Surely someone knows these and can offer some fresh blood?

That or a Zebra with diaper rash or a Zebra with the measles or whatever, but the classic one is a newspaper. Tough riddle to put in print-- do you spell it 'read' and give it away, or 'red' and purposely mislead... Anyhow-- please post a new riddle!S197 wrote: A newspaper.
