I love this weather!
It was 97 yesterday (in Mpls), and 100 in Granite Falls (although only 34 in Grand Marais somehow... that lake really cools things off there). It is supposed to be in the 90s today as well. I miss this heat for sure!! I like it!

Re: I love this weather!
It was 78 in Duluth on Monday and 46 on Tuesday! Brrrr. Today it's supposed to be in the upper 70s again! And tomorrow upper 60s. We're really riding the weather rollercoaster up here right now.PurpleMustReign wrote:It was 97 yesterday (in Mpls), and 100 in Granite Falls (although only 34 in Grand Marais somehow... that lake really cools things off there). One of the unique things about Duluth is that it can be 85 over the hill, but only 55 down by the lake. That's why we're the Air Conditioned City! But you gotta feel just a little sorry for the Twin Citians who see that the official temp here is 85 and come up to walk the Lakewalk and watch the boats and find it freezing down there. Actually, I don't.

Re: I love this weather!
It hit 80 today here in Fargo. This year was kinda weird. It was like we went from winter right into summer, spring was almost nonexistent
I have a love-hate relationship with this time of the year. Obviously the warmer weather is great, but at the same time my springtime allergies are seriously kicking my #### right now. Going all day feeling like I have sand in my eyes sucks! So does waking up in the morning to find my eyes crusted shut, then having to clean the gunk out of my eyelashes.
Seriously considering making a move to a part of the country that isn't bathed in pollen during this time of the year. Maybe the Pacific Northwest...

I am also getting the #### beat out of me by the springtime allergies. I have been itching my eyes all day and it pisses me off. Other than that, the weather is great!HornedMessiah wrote:It hit 80 today here in Fargo. This year was kinda weird. It was like we went from winter right into summer, spring was almost nonexistent

An alternative to medication (which gets expensive) is a Netti Pot. Ever use one? They definitely help, but you'll probably have to use it a few times a day. It's basically a little ceramic thing that you fill with a diluted salt solution and...here's the weird part....stick it in one of your nostrils, tilt your head all the way to the side and slightly forward, and pour the water into the nostril and it comes out the other one. Feels weird as hell but believe me it works.Allenfreak69 wrote:I am also getting the #### beat out of me by the springtime allergies. I have been itching my eyes all day and it pisses me off. Re: I love this weather!
we got really hot last weekend over a hundred and now it back in mid 80's
I like about 82 in the day and 60's at night.
warm enough to do most anything outside but not so hot you roast your chestnuts all day long.

Re: I love this weather!
Every day i had outside guard shift in the morning it rained. Its rained on an off for the better part of a week straight at my base, Fort Stewart. Every time I want to do something, it rains. 5 after work when I want to go jogging? Raining like a mother. 2 in the morning? A ok!
The temperature also went from 80s to 60s in like, 5 hours, but it is back to the 70s. This weather is almost as schizo as NorCal.

105 degree heat here sucks in california in the summer. i miss the cold winters in hibbimg minnesota.
the vikings need to build an open stadium and have a real homefield advantage again. indoor nfl sucks IMO.

Open air stadium would be a real mistake for a team that struggles to sell out games as is. Its fricken cold here, much colder than any other NFL teams home location. Retractable roof is the best way to go, or another dome IMO.hibbingviking wrote:105 degree heat here sucks in california in the summer. i miss the cold winters in hibbimg minnesota.![]()

Have we turned into a nation of wusses? So what if it's cold. They don't care in Green Bay. And, if it's to be a home-field advantage, then take advantage of your biggest advantage -- the weather! Do you think LA wanted to play at the Met during the playoffs back in the day?

In a word, yes. Check the attendance problems the couple years prior to moving into the Dome.DeeEss57 wrote:Have we turned into a nation of wusses? So what if it's cold. They don't care in Green Bay. What does that have to do with LA wanting to play in the Met?
